Spending time with God Puts everything else in Perspective... In Athos no one sleeps at night, praying is the ultimate blessing of all. Every monk is praying for the souls of the world regardless faith religion gender or any other criteria. And in the end they pray for their own souls. A walk in the night even in the cold freezing weather is as a walk in the day in the most populated park in a city... but the population isn't people you see... it is prayers you keep listening from left to right and whispering that you can't really identify where is it coming from. "Lord Jesus have mercy on me" and many more .... like a beautiful chanting of whispers ... invisible as they are dressed in black, they walk around praying or in their cells. And on the way back to your room you see the footsteps on the snow that are the only evidence that someone walked through there... The oxymoron? As you see in the photo, even the footsteps paths made a cross on the snow. “The Way”….. On the way to the next stop Mănăstirea Ghighiu in Ploiesti…the mist..the fog… the “Mystalogy”…. the path that spiritual fathers walked on, the written, the told, the admitted, the secret, the profound, …. but… you are looking for the “UNTOLD” stories that very old people will tell you, will trust you with and disclose to you. The moment that an old pappa in his late 90s decides to disclose information and details of a holly period for a holly person that hasn’t disclosed before for a whole 70 years period… that is the moment that you feel some tears running through your eyes… hundreds kilometres away and you were born half a century after these incidents took place and this very person decides to disclose it to you, in front of a camera and you see his tense face and his skin….. old BUT his look his eyes are RELIVING the incidents and they are as young as they were when these things happened. I call them the “un-sin-fool” cause they simply fool their selves and think they are somehow Saints and keep forgetting where they are or where they came from … judging them? perhaps if you see it in a certain perspective… felling for them? yes.. indeed… But somehow it all comes to this… The Quiter you become… The more you can hear…. If we could simply stop and appreciate life before we open our mouth and stand above ourselves and see us… judge us first and foremost..
