"...he glanced up and added, and some of these girls -- wild horses couldn't stop 'em."
Sweet dreams my dears...
Photograph: WildflowersÂ
I met some flower friends who grow their own 'jingle bells.' This was truly the highlight of my day (along with getting my computer back from its tune-up).
I thought I'd show you dears the "ball-jointed-mini-me dolly" who sits atop the heavy stacks of work on my desk. So far this week I have:
♥ Read 8 very long intricate books for my classes
♥ Written to 7 of my professors and advisors
♥ Found 6 more lovely stones to collect
♥ Written 5 essays for my classes
♥ Soothed away 4 awful fevers
♥ Learnt 3 new/old songsÂ
♥ Called mum 2 times
♥ Picked 1 flower
At first glance I wondered if my Father had given me a unicorn's horn...only to realise seconds later that it was actually a beautiful pearlescent seashell.Â
...she turned back around to face him a moment later and whispered,"when I've got the dandelion blues, I can't help but float away. You can blame the wind but what good would it do?"Â
I saw some friends on my way to class today.
I really love your blog! And you restored my hope for humanity, thank you for that. Good luck with your exams! Evy
Darling Evy,
Thank you so for your heart-enlightening note! I too treasure the tiniest things that allow one to see the world through heart shaped glasses - even if just for a moment (I try to catch them here with my little butterfly net). Never throw caution but always have hope. Thank you for your good luck wishes, I’m sending some your way too! X, Rosie
...my second home, the sea.Â
A wispy ballet bun to keep my tresses from my eyes whilst I study...
Missing you too...
A view from inside The Secret Garden...
Are you hiding somewhere little one? X
You’re too sweet dove. Someone came in my room unannounced just yesterday and did not see me in the corner behind my little towered fort of books, exam notes, articles, essay drafts, thesis papers and applications. I suppose you could call that hiding although it truly isn’t intentional, just situational. Thank you for your quaint hello, I’ll be paddling around to shore again soon (to catch up with all you darlings) as these turbulent waves are sure to give way to the still.Â
Only a few of the belt-loop-badges my little brother has earned recently as a scout. He sent me this photograph after he polished them. I'm ever so impressed!
Nature is my calendar. I know spring is truly here when deer return to the pastures around my uni.Â
Studying for so many finals has been like chasing after a basket of thistledown seeds in a windstorm. If I'm not in the library I'm sidling over to the nurse or flitting into meetings with faculty. My history professor gifted me this beautiful book from 1905 today. It's number eleven of the few prints left in the world. I hardly knew what to say....
