i feel like i’ve said this so many times already but more people need to acknowledge the fact that simon canonically is a cutie pie. HE APOLOGISES TO OBJECTS.

+ people also forget that he trusts very easily when he’s not forced into it, and he has no problems being vulnerable with someone he doesn’t know. sure, it was a life or death situation, but these traits are still there. i genuinely don’t think he would be that hostile towards ryland especially after realising that he’s not dangerous at all.

and, now that’s just my headcanon but i want to add it, to me simon is a huge dork you can not change my mind. i wish he was portrayed like this more please guys have my vision 😭🙏🏻

I love getting unaccompanied minors (kids flying alone) who so clearly just. Don't want to be here lol. Sometimes I get to know a little of their story, like their parents are divorced, or a family member died and they're heading to the funeral, but usually they just don't want to talk about it and that's fine. But I always treat the flight like it's a challenge to make them smile. I offer them snacks and soda but that's never enough, that's whatever, they could get those from an airport vending machine. Chump change. So then I tell the worst jokes. Just the most embarrassing, kindergarten teacher, annoying dad jokes you can think of. And those always get a groan, or a "Seriously??" And that's my in! Now I can say "Why, what's your idea of a good joke? No, come on hotshot, make your best joke, let's see it." And they hem and they haw but of course they eventually tell me their very best joke because kids are little competitive comedy goldmines. And it's always super funny, so I laugh, and that's where they slip up. Because you know what you almost always do when your joke successfully makes someone laugh? You smile. And I'm like. Gotcha. Rookie move. Now you're going to end up having a good time in spite of yourself. I win.

based on a bloodymary fic in progress by @categoryhouse they let me read some early drafts and i HAD TO DRAW THIS SCENE

in the same vein as my mutant!simon likes biting post: i just love humanoid monster characters having little behaviors that mark them as not being human

grace notices that simon likes to rub his neck/chin on him. he’ll come up behind grace and drape his chin over his shoulder, then subtly rub it back and forth a few times. they’re cuddling with grace on top of simon, his head tucked under simon’s chin, and later he notices his hair is sticking up everywhere from simon’s chin rubs.

one day, simon sees grace come out of the shower and grace hears him growl low in his throat and then he’s got an armful of simon. he sputters and giggles as simon gets on his tiptoes and rubs himself all over grace’s face and neck.

“what’s that about?” he asks.

simon turns bright red from ears to neck and ducks away as he mumbles something.

“i didn’t hear you, sweetheart.” grace cups his chin so simon will look at him. “i think it’s cute, i’m just curious!”

simon repeats, “i don’t like it when you don’t… smell like me.”

grace processes that. it’s his turn to blush, because this is such an animalistic, possessive behavior — simon is scent-marking him, claiming him, like a dog marking its territory. then he tilts his head back to bare his neck and says, “well, don’t let me stop you.”

after that, simon is a lot more blatant with his scenting. grace is more than happy to let simon strip him down and rub his smell on every inch of his skin; they’re the only beings with a sense of smell for lightyears, but he loves that he undoubtably smells like he belongs to simon.

I like seeing Simon dressed in Grace’s clothes but had it ever occurred to any of us that Mr. Simon “Markiplier” Butcher is a very thick/muscular/sturdy man. And yes Grace is also very fit but comparing the two is like a rock to a whole ass boulder. All I can imagine is one of Grace’s shirts struggling to contain Simon’s biceps and chest then the second his muscles flex while preforming the simplest task the shirt just rips like paper. Simon is obviously embarrassed meanwhile Grace is trying not to drool and lunge at the beefy man.

Grace: Oh, Simon is great he always keeps the place spotless... His organization system leaves something to be desired, it's been weeks, and I still can't figure out where the knives are.

Simon: At first, I hid the knives so Grace couldn't attack me with them while I was sleeping. Now I'm just hiding them because he's too clumsy to have unsupervised knife access.
