Okay
Dear internet,
Please give me all the advice you have on writing cover letters. Like, the closer you can get to literally just writing a cover letter for me, the better. Ok bye.
This is how I did the one for my librarian position. Â I hope it helps.
Dear Person Hiring for this Job,
I am writing to ask you to consider me for X position. Â This is a paragraph about why I want to do X position in general. Â It includes at least one personal detail and at least one job skill I consider a particular strength. Â It argues that I am passionate about this career. Â It is not long.
I have had the opportunity to gain experience in this job by - paragraph about my work or study experience. Â It should go from most recent experience back. Â Include some details about your responsibilities/achievements in your most recent or most important positions. Â If you have mostly study experience, give more detail about what exactly you studied. Â If you shadowed people, mention that. Â If your work experience is largely unrelated, try to shoehorn some of it in (e.g. I gained experience working with people by). Â You can supplement with relevant hobbies. Â (But if you do have recent, relevant work experience, you should largely be detailing that. Â Only embroider the other stuff if you need to flesh it out.) Â This should be the longest paragraph.
I hope you will consider allowing me to do X thing at your company. Â This is a few sentences about why I want to work at your company in particular and what I think I could bring. Â Try to mention at least one detail from the company website, so they know you visited it. Â This is a short paragraph that parallels the first one.
Thank you very much for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Person You Would Be a Fool Not to At Least Interview
oh my god thank you this is relevant to current interests
Two other points, to challenge whatâs being said above a little:
1) Remember that the person reading this cover letter wants to know how you can contribute to the company. Not how excited you are about the position: itâs all about what they gain. Try framing the whole thing in that sense â âYou would gain my X awesome skill that would help you Y with your mission.â âHereâs why Iâm awesome and a great fit for making your company go better.â
2) At the end, ask for the interview. âI am available at PHONE NUMBER at your convenience. I look forward to speaking with you about this great opportunity soon.â Maybe even say youâll be following up at a specific time and date. Ask for the job. People respond to that, and itâs a good way to fake confidence until you make it. Ask for the job.
Okay, three points. People reading cover letters get SO BORED going through them. Think about starting off with a story that relates to why youâre interested in the job, or that demonstrates a skill or a strong interest that would make you a good candidate. Be memorable â people remember stories, even (maybe especially) very little ones.
*hoards advice*
Full offense but if someone wants you and your kind eradicated violence against them is always justified
âViolence Doesnât solve anythingâ but sometimes it does actually
Donât ever tell Jewish people, poc, LGBT people, disabled people not to express anger at the forces who want them gone. Donât ever try and silence marginalized voices.

Shit my wife has said to our cat:
-You are the cause of all entropy.
-I donât know how, but Iâm going to blame you for all my problems.
-Life on this earth is brief.
-What do you think about the plight of the Jewish people, Miss Kitty?
-You have to ask yourself, Miss Kitty, would your rather be comforted by a lie or strengthened by the truth?
-You occupy a very small space in a very large world, but your conscience is ever the umbrella. You also have a cute kitty butt.
- (after the cat ate a ribbon and threw it up) You wanted to be beautiful on the inside, didnât you?
-You understand that life is meaningless and we must take pleasure where we can. And for you that is on this blue blanket.
-I will fight you in hell upon a mound of bones, Miss Kitty.
-You are a single bead in the string of lives that I hold together.
-You can get used to a certain kind of poison, Miss Kitty
-Sometimes that little light escapes the darkness of your heart, and then you cage it again.
- I⊠am SO PROUD to have a cat that would murder her children.
-(justifying it) Come on! Sheâd be a terrible mother!
- We canât be equals until you get a job, you goddamn freeloader.
- You and your eight nipples are shit.
- You have just enough common sense to not piss on your tail, Miss Kitty.

Shout out to LOW maintenance friendships!!! the kind where we can live our lives and do our own thing, but link up and be just as close!!!!

there would be no price that they would not pay. Natalie with her heart, and Lucifer with his blood.
self-destruction. to give the greatest part of yourself for another.
her life. her soul. forfeit for him. Lucifer, the devil, the tempter, the sin. he could not repay her. not in blood, not in years, not in eternity. words could never soothe away the inadequacies of being left in hell. alone with his soul, the meek, fragile thing that ached with the burden of love for a human he couldnât bring himself to touch. Â
she gave her heart for him. willingly. she always came willingly.
his wings. the only thing greater than himself, than hell, than the blood boiling through his veins. carved from himself, cloaked in the only light bright enough to banish the darkness Lucifer had swallowed when he was reborn from fire and flames to become sin. they belonged to her, a tithe and penance for years  of anger. for her.
he belonged to her. but she was locked away, her fingers wrapped around the skin of his soul and bearing down tight. her heart, forgotten in hell and lusted after by the demons who sought to inhale her innocence like perfume.
need, need, need thicker than blood tasted like desperation and fear. she couldnât forget him, the punishment for loneliness was death and the cost of his own selfishness would have to be enough to pull her out. bring her back, he needed her back, back, she needed to come back.
without her there was no light. nothing. nothing to keep him alive. she had to come back.
she had to save him just one more time.
Before you laugh and make fun of someones accent or mistakes when they speak english please take a moment to realize that you can actually learn alot about their language by their mistakes for example When I was I denmark I noticed alot of danes say â I will learn you â instead of saying I will teach you because teach and learn is the same thing in danish Also arabs when they speak english they often say â beeebol â instead of â people â or â bebzi â instead of â Pepsi â because the letter P doesnât exist in the arabic alphabet Theres always something to learn when you stop being an ignorant piece of shit
I canât wait to see a generation of heavily tattooed old people
