(Three Nights of The Protomen: Acts I-III) We made it to Night 3, with The Protomen's intense, excellent new addition to their story: Act III: This City Made Us. Endlessly inspirational, both as individuals and through their music. This album, and the tracks released from it periodically throughout the years, have been bright, hopeful moments in otherwise dark times. Ultimately, my takeaway from the album is that... we have to be our own heroes. For ourselves, and the people around us. We can't just sit idly by, waiting. The Protomen’s inimitable Act I (really all their albums. but still) seems to always bring the fire both within the band as well as the crowd. A permanent favorite, plus the covers after the end are ridiculously fun (SO thrilled with Land of Confusion are you kidding???).

The first part of The Protomen’s story--Act II: The Father of Death.

The first track I ever heard from them is on this album: The Hounds. What can I even say? I've been listening for more than half my life at this point; the first show of theirs I saw was at a tiny venue in Orlando in 2011 (The Haven). This music has been with me through most of the best times I've enjoyed, and has helped me through some of the worst times I've survived.

This weekend was pure magic for me and everyone else I've spoken to about it. Truly like nothing else.

The year is 2015, you wake up at 2pm and rush to your computer. Your friends are on skype! You message your skype group and say “dgdjfgdfg GOOD MRONGING I OVERSLEP TGDFG”, all your friends reply with a keysmash. They update you on what happened while you napped, two of your mutuals got called out for kinstealing. Tsh- not like you’re surprised. Even if they tagged as “not kin or id”, you knew they were reblogging too much chrom art for them not to be kin. Your friends quickly send you the callout post link and you scroll through it hastily. Looks like they also stole their mutuals theme layout. You close the callout and open tumblr.com, you recently changed your url from bpdayato to ayato2 (score!) and need to reblog the notice post again for your mutuals who may not have seen. You have one new ask! You open your inbox to read it. It says- “were u tumblr user schizogod.” …you delete the ask. You know if you say yes they will bring up old callouts, but that’s not important- your friends just sent you a rabbit invite and you’re going to watch darkweb videos!
