Whenever I shop, I genuinely looked at everything. I looked at hundreds of circular bowls that aren't too wide and are available to the US, just for a bowl of cereal that would last and it's big, because I like to eat on a big bowl of cereal and I also want a bowl that can work for anything else.

So much of what I found has been untrustworthy or has come with defects, many even lied about their specifications or the material they are made of. I would only trust on these ones that I found, which is why I am sharing it. It's like I made the list which helped me pick one, but throwing it all away would be a huge waste right? Especially after all the time and effort. I don't like that. I'll share it online just so it's at least around somewhere.

These are all microwave and dishwasher safe

Good bowls are made of stoneware, glass, or porcelain. I am biased against glass because that breaks more easily than the alternatives, but glass should be higher quality. Always avoid wheat straw, plastics, other ceramics. They can work but they are worse and if not done properly they will break easily or have defects on the microwave or dishwasher. It's better to not take the risk.

I also wanted a bowl that could not only handle the microwave and dishwasher, but one that didn't get too hot on the microwave

IMPORTANT: I only bought one of these. I just looked at the information, the material, the size, and the reviews. Pricing is roughly the same, $10-$50 dollars.

I really like these ones because not only are they big but they look fancy, top quality, made with a whole meal in mind. All of the other ones as a presentation just tell me "here's bowl", this one presents itself like it's the best thing you will ever find and 3 different dishes that fit in a bowl. Comes in a box that's really good looking too. Any house guest would probably love to have these. It also comes with chopsticks for each bowl and spoons!

It's also the only one in this list made out of stonewear. I think this is the best material you could pick. Glass can be better but it's more fragile.

This is exactly what I had in mind when I started my search. Exactly what I needed. I wanted a bowl where the bottom was still decently wide but that while it increased in width, it did so in an angle that was close to 90 degrees. I like this, it's a very straight line, it's how I like my bowl of cereal because that makes it less wide. The less wide it is, the less the cereal spreads in the milk, and the more I can grab with the spoon.

I really like this one because it seems affordable and like it could do the same as all the other ones. This one let's you buy one or two, you don't have to buy a whole set! I like this one because it looks a lot like my current bowl of cereal. That's really it, it's just pure bias. It basically gets the job done. I can put the right amount of milk, and cereal gets spread out but it's not too spread out like this is good, assuming it's like the one I have. It's the only bowl of this size that I have and it's often occupied, so I could definitely buy another one of these and be happy because I already know it works and it's great for it.

I really like this australian brand, because it's both eco-friendly and stylish. I really like the design and I think it really stands out. I don't think I need a bowl this large but I was thinking my mom could love this. Maybe she had an use for giant bowls or would really like how it looks, she doesn't. I do, but I have no use for bowls that are huge. I could still use the smaller sizes but I know she'll take my 44oz bowl. There's other variations of this one.

When I found Köök I also found this one, and these two look extremely similar with the only difference being the design. But it's not just that the shape looks similar, every fact about them is the same as the one from Köök's from material to the quantity to the price to even the quantity. It's basically if you want Köök without a design and from a bigger and more reputable brand. This brand does include exact measurement information unlike Köök There's also other variations that have a different color

I would say this is the best one made out of glass that I could find, and they even come with lids! All the others are either too big or too small, have defects (break easily), or are too wide. Some more notes

I don't really care when people say it breaks during delivery. That happens with any item. This is only a problem if I see it happens often and consistently.

Less trustworthy: They are on Amazon and selling from China or Hong Kong or there's been some complaints that make me doubt they'll be good. Outside of Amazon, they can be trusted since there's better quality control. I didn't include anything in this list I didn't consider buying, so even if they are on that section I really think you should consider them.

I would highly recommend against Threshold and Duralex. Those consistently have bad reviews about how easily they break.

This post is bound to get outdated after some time.

I really do. It's the only place where I find people that are so incredibly bombastically stupid.

Imagine dedicating time and effort, maybe not a lot of time but still time into something, just for someone that has their own personal problems to try to take it out on you and project those problems onto you, for no good reason? Like I make this table, and you antagonize me. What is wrong with you?

And you know what, I fell for the trap of doing what the fucking moron said, he said "people should know doordash costs a lot more money than going directly to the store". I said fine I'll add that to the post as a PSA at the end but that I was worried that it would be seen as lecturing or patronizing. And guess what? 4 votes lost. Back to the score of 1. Because..... I follow this guy's "advice" that was extremely dumb by the way because he expects me to somehow have my spreadsheet predict that there are month where you won't pay for doordash so you are wasting money or expects to make a fucking dumbass table on how much money you would be spending buying in person instead of buying through doordash (It's right in the fucking table too, that is the subtotal, but probably less than the subtotal)

I removed the PSA, and I fucking hate Reddit. I don't make shit to please Reddit, I did this table for me, but Reddit always finds a way to take what you are posting and be ungrateful and deranged and disrespectful about it, I was antagonized, and then try to punish you when you try to please them. I know it's just one person but this sort of thing happens very often.

I try to have a good score because the views the posts gets I feel like add more value to the post and my table that extends beyond my own personal use and allows it to be more easily discoverable in case someone is looking for that spreadsheet. But hey, you try to do good, and you try to please, and the people that downvoted don't communicate that "Your PSA is fucking dumb and patronizing". I have to find out on my own. Thanks to this random dumbass that said such a thing needs to be included so people don't waste their money. I really hate how dumb the average Redditor is. It's bullshit. I think this dumbass tried to do "constructive criticism" yet he could never answer how exactly did he want me to solve his concerns, what do I add to the table, all he did was point out "flaws" and complain.

Edit PSA: I say "order a month" as in, use it every month. If there is a month where you don't use it, you obviously waste money. The same goes if you stop using it and forget to cancel (That's why yearly subscriptions are dangerous). Delivery services are not a money saving method. Unless it says 80% off and no less than that. They are convenience. Only regular users save money with a subscription, and that is only in specific circumstances. Subscriptions and discounts often have the goal of making you spend the same amount of money or more anyways. Most people with a subscription will just take those savings and spend it on the app instead of themselves or their savings. Learn to cook your own food. It's better all around.

Here is a summary of my data

1 order a month, if your subtotal is 12: Get dashpass. You will save 4 dollars in one month.

1-4 order a month, if your subtotal is 12-19: Get dashpass. You will save 1-4 dollars in one month.

5+ orders a month, if your subtotal is 12 or more: Get dashpass.

If your subtotal tends to be $30 and you order 15 times a month, you would save 35 dollars. I feel like the average group or family usually spends 30 dollars on their subtotal.

if it's any less, you are only losing money by getting the subscription, and you shouldn't get it.

My calculator also includes uber eats and grubhub+'s subscription. I am not completely sure on how uber eats subscription works so take that with a grain of salt. I would appreciate it if someone helps me get accurate data on Uber One that doesn't leave any doubt.

I don't seem to have luck on getting the actual benefits and savings from any of them by searching online actually, so I am only completely sure on grubhub+ and dashpass because I don't have uber eats right now. Grubhub+ and DashPass I verified by placing orders and seeing how much it's saving since I have those two.

My calculator also shows DashPass is the best subscription, but because of Doordash's minimum fee if you usually spend less than 20 dollars GrubHub is the best without a subscription. I don't have accurate info on Uber, so Uber might not be the worst and there are cases where it's better with the data I have.

After making two of these tables part of me wants to say "YOU COULD SAVE SO MUCH HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY IF YOU STOP USING DELIVERY SERVICES!!" and then maybe provide a solution just so you can cook your own food without being very devoted into cooking or putting any time or effort

but I don't know how to do that.

I mean, it is in the table. See it for yourself. Wanna buy $12 worth of food? 32 dollars please. Convenience baby.

Let's say, you order doordash weekly all month, that is 5 orders a month. I would say around 25 dollars. That is 125 in one month, but with doordash? 168. So, you are paying 73 43 more for convenience.

And some people probably have a terrible habit where doordash and fast food is their entire diet. Again, 25 dollars average, but 20 orders in one month. Not only is that a subtotal of $500 dollars for food that if you cook at your own home could be worth a lot less (less than $100 on my end). That is 675 dollars you are paying for convenience. So you are giving 175 dollars to doordash just so you don't drive, and you are asking a third party to cook for you just so pay 400 dollars extra to that establishment. Crazy shit.

Fast food is convenient. Delivery services allows even restaurants to enjoy that convenience. But in all of that convenience, I mean, you should be going to the restaurant like in a special ocassion, not all the time.

I mean, I am still going to use Doordash after everything I said. I am just trying to say that moderation is important especially if you are not rich. 500 dollars is the money I could use to change somebody's life or highly contribute to my savings. (I need 20-30k for a car not 500 so... I just have to add it to my savings)

Doordash Saturday Game Streak and how much will you really save

I made this table that shows you how much you would be spending by participating and how much cheaper the food you usually buy will be. I added the fees for other services as well and I hope it can be repurposed in other cases, however this doesn't take into account other special fees that vary by location. It also doesn't take into account delivery fees. You can edit the table with the links at the bottom

There is a table for every price from 12-60, with 12 being the lowest you can go, and there is also a table for the max amount of money you can save from the discount and what you would have to spend to get that discount. The last row shows you how much a Dashpass subscription saves you, but my tables assume you will buy it for 2 month (yes it accounts for the cost of the subscription). This also assumes a 5 dollar tip because it's the standard shared online. I was thinking the offer may not be worth it, because most of them aren't, I had to make it. I tend to make spreadsheets and tables about a lot of things in my life. I think this is the first one that may be useful for someone else and that I can share online

I think this offer is actually worth it as long as your intended use for Doordash is a convenience, because you will definetely save a lot more money by just going there yourself. I recommend it if a place is an hour away from you, I could use those 2 hours working on other things (like this table lol). I should add that even if you are ordering for yourself, it's still a good deal. I'll be personally spending the minimum and then ordering for my family when I get 70% if they want.

If your order subtotal tends to be 40 dollars and you will only order on the saturday, I would suggest getting DashPass. You could save $10. For everyone else, if your average subtotal will be $25, you are only saving pennies.

The biggest deal breaker to me is that you can't combine it with other offers. Things like "buy one get one free" and other coupons. So I am not getting what I am usually getting.

Basically, make an order every saturday to get a discount. After the 11th, you get $100 credited into your doordash account and 80% off. November 15 is the last saturday.

While it's true that mandatory identity verification will inevitably be leaked on a massive scale, the thing you need to understand when framing these arguments is that a lot of the folks in favour of such measures don't see that as a bad thing. Full de-anonymisation of the Internet is their explicit goal. Like, the actual objective here is for everyone to have a public record of everything they say and do – online or otherwise – linked to their government ID. The universal panopticon is the good ending as far as these people are concerned.

AI doesn't have to take that much electricity, no one needs the biggest highest model that ever exists but that's chatgpt, but if you had self-hosted a small model like I do you can see it takes even less electricity than games like death stranding. 4-6GB of virtual ram in the GPU. Unlike Death Stranding which turns my computer into a feet warmer. A small model that is enough to answer most people's extremely simple question is a lot more affordable

It's a very easy solution to charge ChatGPT. This will force them into making their free services a lot more restricted and use a much smaller model there. The paid plan would use the bigger model.

Another solution I had seen other website implement is to store chat history (which has privacy concerns, you really shouldn't be providing chatgpt sensitive data anyways but people do). Simply store the answers the AI gives, and give the same answer to everyone who asks a similar question. If the user repeats the same question, generate a new answer or randomly choose another answer that was stored in the database.

tl;dr: ChatGPT takes so much electricity because it's too smart. You use a dumber AI, and they usually have the answer most people need, and the electricity costs are much smaller.
