me @ max being mean to mike in fics 99% of the time: haha YES get his ass again for me queen
me @ max being kind to mike that 1% of the time:
a sketch of my sillies who I miss dearly
Huge fan of fics where Buck decides to try and act like a "normal" friend to Eddie and in response Eddie throws a tantrum because wtf get back here and be codependent with me
I think the only thing I really want re: buddie is Chim being the one to talk to Eddie about it once Eddie figures it out. I want Chim to get to knowingly ask Eddie if he loves Buck, and to not wait if he does. Everything else would just be sprinkles
#PLEASE#let chim be like 'this guy i know once told me that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. if you love him you should tell him'#eddie (choked up but pretending not to be): sounds like a smart guy#chim: he has his moments <- @glorious-spoon
Yes, yes exactly this!!!!! And if they’re sitting at the firehouse kitchen table (Chim’s new office apparently), it’ll also parallel the Bobby & Eddie conversation after Shannon died, featuring the return of Eddie’s scrunched up crying-not crying face from his captain smartly but oh so gently being there and getting it, because he was once there, too
Hen: I can't believe we're trapped in a closet. The universe has a twisted sense of humor.
Eddie: The universe didn't do anything.
Hen: Why don’t you tell me a secret to pass the time while we get rescued?
Eddie: I’m gay.
Hen: That’s not a secret.
Eddie: I'm in love with Buck?
Hen: Do you know what a secret is?
The older i get the more i understand why some people become obsessed with privacy, not because they’re hiding something, but because being constantly perceived starts to feel spiritually exhausting.
Did you know that soda machines at restaurants and movie theaters spy on you? That most common new cars now record your sexual preferences and send it to the manufacturer (and also data about anyone who also gets in your car, walks by your car, and maybe happens to be within visual range of your car)? That grocery stores are trying to force customers to download an app to scan barcodes on shelves instead of putting up prices, so the app can scan the phone, decide how much that customer should be squeezed for, and adjust the price? That more and more innocent people are being sent to jail for crimes committed hundreds of miles away because an AI facial recognition algorithm spit their faces out and the cops didn't bother to do the most basic of checks?
I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.
And often, they are assholes, too.
If you walk past a Tesla in a parking lot, it's recording you and uploading to Tesla servers. The owner doesn't even get to see or know.
There are scandals about Tesla employees sharing naked videos of customers. Or anyone in a Tesla experiencing a wardrobe malfunction. Changing into your bathing suit in the back seat? Tesla Christmas party reel.
The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.
absolutely obsessed with these tags
I hate Dropout sometimes because, fuck, the only way to begin is by beginning. the only way to learn is by playing. and the only way to win is by learning. FUCK. why is sam reich in my head. get out, you pinstriped fuck.
always an underrated moment for me that Athena spoke well of Buck to Bobby in the pilot itself after he had taken the engine to save her. and she also gives him the clearest advice when he was struggling after Devon (rollercoaster guy)'s loss. they had a rough start, but she doesn't warm up to him because of Bobby. if anything, she trusts him at first because of Hen and then because of his own choices.
Buck and Eddie go out to a club one night and they hit it off with some really nice people. While Buck's in the bathroom, Eddie makes a comment about feeling a headache coming on from the thumping music and a guy he's been talking to offers him some pain killers. Eddie takes the tablets without really paying attention to what they look like (idiot) and swallows them down. A little while later everything starts to get brighter and softer, and wow Buck is so beautiful and soft, and Eddie can't keep his hands off him. He just keeps stroking along the skin on his arms and rubbing his hands over Buck's chest cuz his T-shirt is so soft.
And yeah it turns out the guy accidentally gave Eddie his ecstasy pills...and now Buck is suffering because of it.
The Buckley siblings and their children be like:
Maddie carried two babies for 9 months and then gave birth to her husband's mini mes.
Buck doesn't even share dna with one of them both kids popped out as his little Bucklings.
Chim: Eddie, why are your pockets full of rocks?
Buck: Ooh you're gonna make him cry.
Eddie, tearing up: Theo gave them to me.
Hen: Rocks are cool I guess.
Harry: I remember that phase.
Ravi: Yeah because it was like a couple of weeks ago for you.
Harry: Can we get rid of Ravi, please?
Chim: Don't make me put you in the get along shirt again. Buck explain the rocks.
Buck: We took Theo to the zoo to see the otters, and he's been obsessed with giving us cool rocks to show how much he loves us ever since.
Eddie, crying: He's so smart already, just like his big brother.
SOMEbody at Merriam Webster is courting me, personally
Backstory I was once so tired from my hospital stay when my meds started making me hallucinate I didn't give a shit and just accepted my fate.
Now imagine Buck has to start a medication after another NDE and is hallucinating and is just letting it happen. Eddie is for some reason doing a whole step up dance for no reason.
