im very grateful for the lessons in photography i was taught in stop motion class because just now they made it possible to photograph the stars with my phone in spite of the camera usually not detecting the light of stars because theyre so dim,,,, enjoy these shiny motherfuckers
ok so if everythings normal, your phone camera should have a manual mode (sometimes called pro mode). in it, change the settings of the shutter lag to 20 seconds, then put the phone down on some stable, plane surface and press the photo button (usually when using your camera, the volume buttons can be used as photo button) and let the phone still for the whole 20 seconds.
(basically the problem with most cameras is that they dont have a very good light sensitivity in the dark, however that doesnt mean they cant detect it at all. the longer the shutter is open, the more light your camera takes in and the more burnt/light your pic will be, so in (literally) dark situations, make the shutter lag longer to get all that light you need! also i said 20 seconds but really you can make it shorter or longer depending on what kinda stuff you want for your stars)
Yes this!
Additionally, adjust your ISO to the highest number (mimics the film used for very low light and low speed images)
And set your shutter speed to the longest time possible (on my phone it’s 10 seconds).
Leave your focus settings on Auto, and if your phone camera has a timer option, turn that on (five seconds is generally enough).
Plan your shot first, then find a place to set your phone down so you can get the image you want. The less light pollution, the better; you’ll pick up FAR more stars in your picture.
Once you know what you want to shoot, tap your screen to “focus” it, then hit the button to take the picture, set your phone down, and back away from the “tripod”. Don’t touch your phone for a good 15 seconds, just to be sure.
You will not be disappointed in the results, let me assure you.
Not even a little bit.

Tea/Coffee Readings
How To
You need to find a cup with a wide brim that’s light in colour, find a wide saucer. Pour in lose tea leaves/coffee (you can buy loose tea leaves or rip open a tea bag) into you cup and add boiling water (Do Not add milk) Drink your tea/coffee while thinking about your question, if you dont like tea/coffee take a few sips. When you are finished drinking take the cup in your dominant hand and place your non-dominant handover the top of your cup. Turn the cup tree times in a clockwise direction. Pour any remaining water down the sink. Place the cup upside down on the saucer or a napkin and turn it clockwise three times, turn the cup over look for the leaves that have taken shapes. When you have finished your reading it is customary to turn your cup over, place your index finger on the base of your cup and make a wish
Meanings You can twist and turn the cup for new angles to find symbols in your cup, the closer the symbol is to the rim of the cup the sooner it will happen. the further down the longer it will take, tea reading can only predict up to a year. symbols at the bottom of your cup will take almost a whole year to take effect. Spell request item bumblebee locket
“Hive-five” bee necklace spell request
(Bear with me on the pun) A spell to encourage only pleasant and/or productive interactions between yourself and those around you. This spell focuses on the highly social nature of bees are and how cohesively they work together.
Materials: bumblebee necklace, honey, paper, favorite fragrance
Place a drop of honey on your tongue. (Any type of sweetener such as sugar or agave nectar may be substituted)
Envision your words and actions being sweet and perceived as such by others.
Tear or cut the paper to fit inside your locket. (If you are doing this for a pendant rather than a locket, any scrap of paper will do). Envision whatever circle of people you become part of throughout your day being positively affected by your energy.
Place a drop of your essential oil, perfume, or cologne onto the paper. Allow it to spread and soak in. Inhale the scent of your fragrance and meditate on the positive feeling it brings. Do this for as long as you see fit. You may also place another drop of honey or sweetener on your tongue during this time.
Once dry, lock the paper into your locket. (Alternatively, you can burn the paper to release your intentions and hold your pendant over the smoke)
Fasten your necklace around your neck, noting that doing so will seal the spell.
As with any charmed object, the spell will wear off over time as the charm encounters negative energy or if you don’t reinforce your intentions. You can re-do the spell to “refresh” the charm whenever you feel it/s needed!
“Chants, invocations and incantations to automatically bring you money, health, love, power, possessions and happiness.”
That is the Chapter title for Cobb’s list of NAP spells. I think that makes a cool title, right?
Here we are, after constructing the mandala and learning how to develop and work with our vital force or Avatar Power we are ready to do some spell casting. Let’s imagine you are ready to do your first spell casting. I will give the general overview of the practice.
0. Perform a banishing, I will give a modified banishing similar to the one in NAP but more in line with the traditional Hebrew prayer. If you have a regular banishing rite, do that.
1. NAP ritual- with brief focus on Arzel explaining what you are doing and asking for aid (you may wish to do a reading here or prior to the working)
2. Middle Pillar/ 5 Gates.
3. Fill sphere of sensation with the appropriate color from the Tree of Life or fill the body with the appropriate element for the spell being done.
4. Cobb gives a modified Headless/Bornless rite, do that here. It is greatly reduced but I find it is still quite effective for getting the will inflamed, if you have worked the full Headless rite before you may find this abbreviated version surprisingly effective! I will produce the Cobb’s version below
5. Recite the spell, vibrating the names/words of power given. I have spoken with several magicians (and I have also done it) that recite the spell 3x to really get the energy pumping. Once can be enough though.
6. Once the spell is cast focus on the appropriate planetary sign or element on your mandala. Focus your eyes and mind completely on the symbol. Allow your imagination to experience the success “AS IF” it has been done with a feeling of success/joy for having done the ritual. Feel what you would feel once the result would have occurred. Linking the feeling with the planetary symbol or element.
7. By this point a strong afterimage should have built up on the retina. Close your eyes and contemplate the afterimage and watch as it glows in various colors, begins to change, allow yourself to imagine that it is the very power and energy of the spell casted slowly transforming your situation. Feel awash in the power emanating from the mandala.
8. Open your eyes, focus for a few minutes on the center circle of the mandala. Give thanks to Your HGA/Personal deity, Arzel and the spirits called for aiding you. I like to knock three times on the altar to show I am closing.
There is no need to banish here as the force is being locked into the mandala. If you are a bit nervous about not banishing these forces, momentarily cover the mandala with pure-clean-white silk and banish. Once the banishing is complete uncover the mandala so the power from it can continue to work on your environment and sphere of sensation. Do not banish the mandala! It is a powerhouse of magical energy! Even if you clumsily leave it out for a banishing it is not like all the built up power you have filled it with will be gone though, so don’t worry.
I recommend working one single spell and connecting it to one of the 7 planetary symbols/ element, then giving it a couple of days and moving to another spell and planetary symbol/element until each planetary symbol/element on the mandala has been charged by a spell at least once. This grants a even greater boost to the power of your mandala while also getting these powers working in your daily affairs. Once each spell has been cast you can return to the NAP ritual and middle pillar to keep the charge building day by day (working the appropriate planet on the appropriate day) on the mandala. This is the “offering” given to keep these powers working on your behalf in every way. You can of course include the elemental associations as well for even greater results! We will go deeper into this work in the next post.
Note on the spells, Cobb did a terrible job translating the Hebrew divine names. They still work but just be aware they are incorrect and the more classic pronunciation would probably be better.
The Spells:
The Bornless (you can change to the Headless if you like)
“Thee I invoke, The Bornless One. Thou art Man made perfect, whom no man has seen at any time. This is He whom the winds fear. Hear me, and make all subject unto me, so that every spell and scourge of the Vast One shall be made obedient to me. "I am He, the Bornless Spirit, strong and of immortal fire. I am He, the Truth, that lighteneth and thundereth. I am He whose mouth ever flameth. I am He the begetter and manifester unto the Light.”
Archangel invocation (to be used before performing a ritual-chant the angel names)
In the name of the Lord God of Israel, may Michael be at my right hand, and Gabriel at my left; before me Uriel; behind me Raphael; and above my head the divine presence.
This is actually the ancient prayer that the LBRP was based on, so, traditionally at least it has precedence. Do note the elemental direction are much different that standard magical directions. Adjust if needed.
Invocation for Wealth “In the Power of the Names EH-HEH-YEH, YEH-HO-VO-EL-OH-HEEM, & YEH-HO- VO-AH-VAY-DAH-AHS I place this Invocation with Thee, NEE-TEE-KAH, Genius of Wealth. Know that I require and command Thee to bring me gold. Thou has dominion over wealth and Thou shalt begin this very instant to shape the future such that 💰 shall come to me, enough and to spare, by the powers of these Words and Invocation. Be Thou ruled by me the Names SHAH-DYE-ELL-KYE & AH-DOE-NYE-HA-AH-RETZ. So mote it be.” Invocation to Bring Success “In all my undertakings henceforward I conjure and command Thee, mighty ELL-YOU-BAIT-ELL, to protect me, bear me up and carry me forward to the pinnacle of success. Thou shalt give me clarity of mind to confound my opposers; Thou shalt bend the Laws of the Cosmos to my and Thy will, bringing each and every one of my desires to pass. I shall be enwrapped in Thy faultless Powers, and tread ever higher to that glittering peak which I covet. Hear this, and obey me: AH-NAH-FAX-EE-TONE which Aaron heard and spoke. Thou shalt guide me to success. So mote it be.” Invocation to Win A Legal Action “Mighty EYE-EEL-AH-HE-YAH who holds sway over the decisions of men, Thou shald bring Thy power to bear on my behalf in the legal action which is pending. I command that I shall be successful in this, my hour of need. Thou hast the ability to aid me in achieving this desire. Hear the Word and be obedient to It and me: NAB-🐀-AGLA-SURE- AN-AT. So mote it be.” Invocation For Protection from Evil “I invoke Thee, GAH-DEE-ELL, in Thy power and wisdom to place around me a 🛡️ against which evil shall be powerless. Those who would harm me shall be powerless, and their evil shall return to them a thousandfold. Be Thou ready and able to place this protection, as I seal it with Thee with the Words: EE-YOTE-EEYAH-VAW-ARE-ZALL. I am within Thy protection now and my enemies cannot harm me. So mote it be.” Invocation To Excite Love “Hear me, AH-NAY-ELL & JAHZ-AIR, Thou spirits of Venus and 💛. I desire to excite 💛 and passion in the 💛 of a suitable partner. Stretch forth Thine hands and pluck the 💛 strings such that my desire is returned a hundredfold. I conjure this command thus: HOR-TA-ELL-RACK-AH-MAY. So mote it be.” Invocation To Rekindle A Mate’s Interest “I invoke Thee, PA-GEE-ELL, to light a 🔥 in the 💛 of my mate - a 🔥 that will burn ever higher, so that s/he turns to me in fervor and 😍, blind to my faults, and desiring only to please me in whatever way s/he can. I command that our companionship shall become perfect, each fulfilling every need and deisre for the other. I also demand that any shortcomings, be they physical or mental, be swept aside such that our partnership shall be perfect. Hear this Word of Power, Thou Pagiel and obey me: VEDGE-EED-OR-AH-MEET-EYE. So mote it be.” Invocation to Give Secret Knowledge “Titanic KAH-DREE-ELL, I invoke Thee. I require Thee to transform me to one who can know things that are hidden from others. I desire to know what will befall the future. I wish to know the thoughts of others. I demand insight into the comings and goings of my fellow creatures. All this shalt Thou do for me, placing the knowledge within my mind during both waking and 💤. I seal this command thus: EE-BAN-HER-EE-ON-AH-DOH-NYE. So mote it be.” Invocation To Give Power Over Others “Mightiest DYE-NAH-MISS! There are those over whom I would have ultimate power so tha they obey my every word and thought. Bring Thy mystic energy to bear on me, such that I radiate your power. Impress those that I command to bend to my will at all times. I command Thee with the Words: AH-GAH-LAH-OH-TEEMEE-TYE. So mote it be.” Invocation to Bring Health “I call Thee ZO-ROE-ELL & SAH-BREE-ELL who hath dominion over physical and mental health. At my command, banish from (me or name of 🙌) all diseases, discomfort, sickness and malfunction of body and mind. Send down Thy beneficial healing rays, for Thou art able to bring this to pass. During each passing hour Your powers will bring youthfulness and freedom from pain. I seal this command with the healing words EEM-AHN-YOU-ELL which Shadrach, Meshach and Abednago sang in the fiery furnace and were delivered. Thus shall Your powers dispel this sickness and disease. So mote it be.” General Purpose Invocation “In the Powers vested in Thee, EE-AH-OAT, PATE-AH-YAH, and OH-PEA- ELL, I command Thine aid. Bring Thy influences to bear on my affairs. My desire is ______ . Thou has heard, and in the Name of VEE-NOKE-OH-TEE- 👀-AWN, Thou shalt fulfill my will in all things which seem good unto me. So mote it be.”
Obviously some of these spells are perfect for certain spheres while others could relate to a couple spheres, and the elements. Select the most appropriate at the time and if need be do another one later for another section of the mandala, or ask Arzel for guidance. Again, you want to charge at least once each section of the mandala with a spell that works in your favor.

A Practical Guide to Herbology Lesson Four: Tinctures
Introduction
As our journey through herbology continues, I’d like to introduce you all to something that I depend on quite frequently to cure my general aches, pains and insomnia day-to-day: tinctures!
Tinctures are a concentrated liquid form of an herb that can last for several years and be taken as needed. Some tinctures can be taken internally, but some are for external use only. In general, they can help alleviate pain and common symptoms, from anxiety to muscle soreness, but they are by no means a substitute for a proper doctor or medical care. However, they can help make our day-to-day lives more manageable in between visits and check-ups.
All tinctures use alcohol (usually something neutral, like vodka) as the solvent, although there are some cultural and folklore-based exceptions to the rule. In short, they can be taken directly with a dropper or diluted in tea. They can also be crafted using a variety of fresh or dried flowers, leaves, barks and berries.
Making a tincture
There are several ways to go about making a tincture, but I’m going to focus on the one that I grew up with in my tribe: the folk method. Here’s what you’ll need:
Fresh or dry herbs
Sterilized glass jars
A knife or chopping tool
Funnel
Cheesecloth
Alcohol (something neutral, like vodka or everclear)
Tinted glass dropper bottles (cobalt or amber works well)
How much plant material do I need?
Fresh leaves and flowers
Finely chop or grind clean plants
Fill the jar ⅔ to ¾
Pour alcohol to the very top of the jar, covering the plant material completely
Dried leaves and flowers
Use finely cut plants
Fill the jar ½ to ¾
Pour alcohol to the very top of the jar, covering the plant material completely
Fresh roots, barks and berries
Finely chop or grind clean plants
Fill the jar ⅓ to ½
Pour alcohol to the very top of the jar, covering the plant material completely
Dried roots, barks and berries
Use finely cut plant material
Fill the jar ¼ to ⅓
Pour alcohol to the very top of the jar, covering the plant material completely
Which alcohol percentage do I use?
40% to 50% (80 to 90 proof vodka)
This is the standard percentage range for tinctures
Good for most dried and fresh plant material
Extracts water-soluble properties well
67.5% to 70% (half 80-proof vodka mixed with half 190 proof grain alcohol)
Extracts the most volatile aromatic properties
Good for fresh high-moisture herbs like lemon balm, berries, and aromatic roots
Will draw out more of the plant juices
85% to 95% (190 proof grain alcohol)
Good for dissolving gums and resins, but not necessary for most plant material
Extracts aromatics and essential oils
Can produce a tincture that is hard to take (high alcohol content) and can potentially dehydrate the plant material
How long do I soak it for?
Store your tincture in a cool, dark and dry cabinet. Shake it several times a week and check your alcohol levels - you may need to top it up if it has evaporated and exposed the plant material. Exposed plant material can breed mold and bacteria into your tincture so do be sure to take care of it. Allow the tincture to soak for 6 to 8 weeks.
How do I bottle it?
It’s important to note here that your tinted glass bottles need to be sterilized, otherwise they may introduce bacteria and/or encourage mold to grow. One way of sterilizing glass is to wash it thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Then, after rinsing and draining the bottle, place it on an oven rack at 120 Celsius for 10 to 15 minutes to dry.
Once it has finished soaking, it’s time to strain your tincture. Drape a damp cheesecloth over a funnel and have it pour into a tinted glass bottle. Pour the mixture over the cheesecloth slowly, allowing the tincture to drip into the bottle. Afterwards, squeeze the remaining liquid out of the herbs (or blend them and squeeze that) into the bottle.
After you strain and bottle your tincture, you’ll want to label it. This is how I label my tinctures:
Common name:
Latin name:
Parts used:
Fresh/dried
Alcohol %
Source
Date
Dosage
How do I use it?
The standard adult dose for a tincture is ½ to 1 teaspoon up to 3 times daily, as needed. Children usually take ¼ to ⅓ of that dose. For children, pregnant women, or those not wanting to consume alcohol, you can pour the tincture into a hot tea or cook it into water on the stove to help it evaporate.

Warnings: All plant material should be sourced appropriately and responsibly for your own safety and well-being. Be certain that you are purchasing food-grade ingredients from a reliable retailer or supplier. Along these lines, not all dried herbs are meant for consumption so please be on the lookout for “external use only” labels - you do not want those products for this.
Do not source plant material from the wild without the help of an expert in the appropriate field - you do not know what types of chemicals, pesticides or pollutants that wild plants may have been exposed to. Similarly, there are a plethora of wild plants that look identical to each other: one may be safe while another may be poisonous or fatal.
Do your own research regarding medicinal plants and usage, especially if you are sensitive or have allergies of any kind. If you are on medication(s), consult a doctor before use.
Finally, tinctures are a health supplement and not a substitution for professional medical and psychiatric aid. If you are experiencing any prolonged health and/or mental health issues, SEE A DOCTOR.
