I'm playing around with selling some tattoo designs for $5-20 depending on scale and difficulty to build a portfolio and practice!! Here's some ive done already :3 please dm for use or commission !!
Reminder that I'm still doing commissions!! Boosting this again bc I'm putting back for college :3
Saw the mandalorian and grogu last night despite my bare Star Wars knowledge and I kinda really loved it partially because my first SW action figure was Ahsoka and she came with a baby Rotta the Hutt that fit in her backpack and sometimes I'd just carry Rotta around in my pocket and look!! Look 'im!!!! My son!!!!!! But also I really liked how the creatures actually moved like puppets bc my biggest peeve w modern Star Wars is it feels like they've forgotten their nostalgic roots for sake of making everything overly dark and too realistic for enjoyablility (the porgs are creepy to me,,) so for Grogu and the little guys that go around w him (idk what they're called) to move and react Like Puppets is actually rlly important to me and I love it
10/10 loved how it felt like one of the 00s prequels but had some of those nice original trilogy sunset shots

YES. VERY. HI HI HI HI HI HI HI
I found out about a channel, sadly i forgot what the actual username was, but i'll call them "Peter Pan Enthusiasist", cuz they called themselves that in a few videos-
In a video they did about ranking Peter Pan actors, they put Robin Williams (who i hope we all know played our hero in the 1991 film 'Hook') at dead last because they personally dislike Hook, a reason they give is, essentially, "Taking a character who doesn't grow up and being like "what if he did grow up" is not only wrong but downright insulting".
Now, we all know that Hook is by no means a perfect film, but honestly that statement confused me very much, esp because they actually put OUAT Peter Pan above Hook's Pan.
Now, one could say, "the whole point of OUAT Peter Pan was being an evil bastard so technically it should be praised for doing what it aimed for", and maybe you'd be correct, but even they said the character himself was very one-note, and personally putting Robin Williams' Pan below that imposter of an adaptation is. FAR from a fair ranking to me.
They also have a rewrite video that i've yet to watch called "Destroying Hook" which. Hmm.
I'm just. Turned off by that point of wording when it comes to critique, like it just seems so mean, and esp when the film in question isn't really that bad but not perfect either, does it like really deserve that?
So, because of this, i'm asking y'all fans on your take about. Well that take. I need more rational thought besides the fact Hook is very dear to me.
Not only is Hook one of the better adaptations in my own personal ranking, but I genuinely adore and wholeheartedly agree with how Peter is portrayed. Many people often misinterpret Neverland as a magical place and Peter as a hopeful protagonist (especially hot topic 2010s Peter Pan fans but that is neither here nor there-). Peter is a selfish, anxious child and Thats The Point. Being unable to become an adult isn't a blessing, he just thinks of it as so because he's a child scared of responsibility and death.
Part of the reason I love Hook is because it reminds me of one of my favorite episodes of Steven Universe, and to quote Rose Quartz:
What an incredible power, the ability to grow up.
Peter Banning is an unashamed portrayal of what Peter would genuinely be as an adult as sad and irritating as that is. He's selfish and can't keep up with time and breaks every promise he makes but it isn't an intentional shittiness. He just struggles
Much like a man who was 11 for a hundred years would likely be
Peter Pans traits are only charming because they belong to a foolish child, so when hes an adult it isn't fun anymore because now he's just an asshole
But that's why Hook is so perfect.
(Also the color grading and editing and music and acting are all phenomenal and I love talking about this movie can you tell-)
Let me hear your body talk!! Your body talk!!!!
you're the heart!
So that finale huh
No Joe au Thanksgiving
Epilogue!Bill Dickey x Geek Girl (Gwen) headcanons
They stopped going to Bill's parents' houses YEARS ago (mostly out of spite from Bill)
He also resents having to go to Gwen's parents' house (and being responsible for bringing a dish)
He can't cook for SHIT
Gwen almost always just makes Mac and Cheese
They do lunch at her parents house and dinner with just them and their kids (Lois and Jean) after they stop going to Bill's parents houses
Lois starts shit w cousins On Purpose because she thinks she's being funny
Bill hates having to dress decent
It's like his mother is having to dress him
He refuses to do black friday at his comic store and he gets a little bit of a bad rep for it but he Does Not Care
When the kids were really little he was in charge of getting them dressed to go to Gwen's parents' and it was never very well coordinated
Gwen gets shit for Bill appearing to be a shit dad and husband
He rlly isn't that bad(not nearly like in the canon epilogue) he's just still,, Bill
When they DID still go to Bill's mom's and dad's (separately) it was chaotic
His mother is controlling and his father is emotionally distant and by the time they'd get home they were both exhausted and this was before either of the kids were born
Bill doesn't do anything for the 3 days after Thanksgiving until the next Monday
He's socially burnt out
No one touch him
Or look at him
Painting for a festival I'm vending at tomorrow !!
