I feel like we as a fandom don't talk about this enough.

Kirishima went from this:

He worked so hard during that last year of middle school (and ever since duh)

He's always wanted to help people in danger, he just has an inferiority complex because of his quirk. He did everything on his own - all his training! And worked so hard! I'm just,,, so proud.

Also, Kirishima didn't actually know who those two students from the sludge villain attack were until Monoma blurted it out during the calvary battle. (It's never technically addressed, but as you can see in his flashbacks, no name was mentioned, and as Kirishima was on Bakugou's team, it's safe to assume he heard Monoma)

Kirishima isn't stupid. He struggles a little with some of the academic side, namely laws (shock horror, he isn't an angel) and sometimes makes brash and ill thought out decisions, but he isn't stupid. Still a himbo tho. He probably would have worked out that Midoriya was the other kid from middle school. Those two kids were an important part of his development. If they could do it, why couldn't he? Why couldn't he go? They're the same age, aren't they?

It's just a theory, but what if when he learns that it was Bakugou who was attacked by the sludge villain, he understands Bakugou's relationship with Midoriya more. Kirishima gets to know Bakugou's personality throughout the USJ attack and the sports festival etc and how he needs to be the best. That's clear to everyone, but Kirishima's a good people person (see where he starts crying with Asui and him defending Bakugou from his middle school classmates in one of the light novels) and I can see him being great with emotions - being in tune with your feelings is hella manly. So when he works out Midoriya was the other kid, he kind of sympathises with how Bakugou - who needs to be the best - needed help.

Like I said, Kirishima did all his training alone. He had Ashido for a bit of moral support (we were CHEATED out of them being canon gym buddies) but all of his other friends doubted him. He's super thankful for Ashido being there and that's why when he realises Bakugou doesn't like Midoriya because he doesn't like help, he goes "well now I have to befriend you, because I know how much having someone on your side no matter what means"

Of course he doesn't know about their entire relationship, but he understands a little and he's persistent with trying to get Bakugou to open up. Bakugou needs someone like that at UA. Someone who doesn't instinctively take Midoriya's side.

Kirishima Eijirou is a wonderful character who has grown so much and is the best friend anyone in class 1A could ask for.

KamiJiro Head-cannons !!

Since the Cultural Festival, Kaminari got fascinated with Jirou’s voice, he was willing to do anything to hear her sing again. One day, on a weekend, he was passing by and saw Jirou in a cafeteria, scribbling on a notebook, so he stayed around the zone, waiting after she was gone, and asked the waiter what did she ask for. “Oh, the girl that just left? She ordered a normal coffee”.With this idea, Denki went back to the school and the next day at night, prepared coffee for all his classmates, it was a stupid idea really but it was just going based of it he could get her in a good mood or not, but if all went well later that night, he could listen to her sing. So each time he wanted to listen to her, he prepared coffee for her, and once these two were dating, Jirou understood the message and sang something for Denki, without him saying a word.

Denki will randomly bust into jirous dorm acting as if its some sort of emergency only for him to just show her a meme hyperactively, jirou says its stupid but she actually thinks its kinda cute

Jirou was like genuinely surprised when she found out Denki was like- actually really smart when it came to vocabulary, so when she fails an english test once she's ready to go ask yaomomo for help when denki offers some, at first she thought she was joking, he wasn't. She ends up actually studying with him and learning a ton.

Jiro hates thunderstorms, so when the power ended up going out at the dorm complex one day she was trying to keep her cool by just listening to music, spoiler alert, she was failing, denki ends up coming in her room for something when he notices she was tense by the way her shoulders rested and more of her posture, he didnt really connect the dots at first but when he did he smiled softly and sat down net to her making small sparks from his fingers for some light

(And a small Married Edt.) Denki always continues calling jiro his girlfriend, and jiro corrects him every time, and it just warms his heart on how its always like-

Denki: "Well as my girlfrie-"

Jiro: "cough wife cough"

Thats really all i can think of at the moment lmao, i'm not really too active when it comes to kamijiro but they have a special place in my heart. Anyways, i hope you have a lovely day <3

why do you ship bakugou and kirishima in my opinion the ship is dumb asf

Oh that’s a good question honestly, I think over the years it’s become more of a comfort/projection thing, I kind of just like to focus on them rather then my own shit since it’s much easier ya’know? But actual ship wise I just think their cute together, their my 2 favorite troupes combined (sunshine x grumpy + friends to lovers) and I feel like they both really help each other overcome things, like Bakugou can teach kirishima to respect himself while kirishima teaches him the respect of others, now don’t get me wrong, both of them could easily learn to do that on their own, especially Bakugou seeing his recent development thats happened in the manga. But to answer your question shortly, they help me in my personal life focus on things other than stress and in all I think their compatible, I can see that we have our different opinions on this haha, but yeah that’s my take, have a lovely day <3
