"Silencer"? Will the Pikmin obtain firearms? I wish. Unfortunately, the Silencer is just-Ah! A severed human baby head! I would never have expected this in a Pikmin game! Except for I hadn't, because this is another trick! It is, in fact, just a doll!

However, the Silencer is the first thing in a Pikmin game that is an object meant to look like a human! I thought it was a little gross at first, but now I understand this is a baby that can become anything, even you! And you will someday become a baby. And the cycle will continue! Isn't this beautiful?

No, because it is only a plastic doll that will cycle from being plastic to being a fake baby and back. As you can see from this picture from Pikipedia, it is worth 670 Pokos! But that is no fun! I want a scary number! And the Japanese version of Pikmin 2 has it worked out! The Silencer in that version is worth... 666 pokos!? That number makes me want to jump up in the air and shout! How frightening! People in Japan are missing out on 4 Pokos, meaning that you shouldn't speedrun Pikmin 2 in Japanese, as faster text can't make up for those 4 Pokos you'll miss out on!

So, why is the Silencer called that? Well it's because of the fact that it can silen

Creature - Fiery Blowhog

Games - Pikmin 1, 2, 3, 4, Hey! Pikmin

Guys!! It's the Fiery Blowhog! Look how funny it is! Look at it's big red snout! Is that how it eats? That's pretty silly. Anyways, did you know this funny creature has been in a movie? Yes! It had a breakout role in the hit Pikmin short movie Occupational Hazards, where it played itself! Imagine that!

Look at this! It's disguising itself as a pipe! Very clever and stealthy! But look! There's more!

Look! It's shooting out fire! It must be awesome to have Fiery Blowhog in a movie, because that would mean that Pikmin are real.

Anyways, they get the funny pig into the mud! That's just like real life! Anyways, look how large it is! It's in terrible pain! It's filled with mud! Noooo!!!

Gross! But it is okay! It turns out fine sort of at the end of the film. Nooo, I spoiled it!! What a strange movie. However, there is something that angers me to this day! Fiery Blowhog remains uncredited in this movie! How rude!!

I like to imagine it's this fiery blowhog specifically from the Distant Tundra in Pikmin 3. How did it get to a construction site? We will never know, as the actors are unknown and a documentary was never made. Anyways, let's talk about fiery blowhogs in the Pikmin series! Fiery Blowhogs have two important attacks! They can buck Pikmin off of them, and in some caves in Pikmin 2 and 4, this can cause your Pikmin to fly over the side of the cave! Youcha oucha!

But look! The main attraction! Fiery Blowhogs can shoot fire! Very awesome! Fiery Blowhogs are very awesome! But so underrated! In every Pikmin game, Red Pikmin are the first ones you obtain, and are immune to fire! So naturally, this enemy is used to show that behavior! And what do Fiery Blowhogs get? Nothing! Well apparently someone at Nintendo felt the same way as me, and in Hey! Pikmin, Fiery Blowhog is now a boss!

Wow! Look at it! It's terrifying! It's powerful! It's... really big?? What's the big deal with this big sow? It's pretty similar to the Titan Blowhog, an enemy from Pikmin 4!

In the Titan Blowhog's deacription, it says that it's large because of it's abnormal hormones. Is that what's happening to Hey! Pikmin's Fiery Blowhog? Is it a Titan Blowhog incorrectly classified? Whatever it is, I'm talking far too much about Titan Blowhogs on this post about Fiery Blowhogs!

Anyways, it can shoot out fireballs in this game! It also inhales air before doing this, and conveniently, it's breathing is a sick vacuum reference! Toss a bomb rock in that mouth hole, and it's stunned! Don't laugh! Its organs have been decimated!

Wow! It's Shooting Spiner (Male)! I'm very honored. Look how adorable it is! I like it's eyes. But don't look too close! This fella will and can spit clouds at you!

Look at it go! Yep, it's pretty awesome! Unforunately, these clouds hurt you and any Pikmin that touches it. Youcha! Also! Look at the webs they are on. Since Shooting Spiner (Male)s hang upside down, all the blood(?) in it's body goes straight to it's head! That makes it very smart. Awesome!

Hey! Here comes our dear friend Shooting Spiner (Female)! This one has legs! And the legs hurt! Yikeza! So these Spiner gals lower themselves to Olimar's level, and then...

Woah! That would be very frightening if the image was larger! Yes! This attack can stab Pikmin, and hurt Olimar! After doing this, it then retreats away, and then comes back to try it again! The nerve! It's okay though, because sometimes when a strategy works, then the best thing to do is to do it over and over again. It knows this because it's upside-down, so all the blood(???) is going to it's head, so it's smarter.

To close off this double episode, I'd like to share Olimar's notes on the Shooting Spiner (Female), which may be some of my favorite notes in the entire game.

Wow! Leaves! Yes, today we will be talking about leaves in the Pikmin series. It will be informative and. Oh my. This is not a mere leaf! Oh dear, if your eyes have gravitated to the first picture on screen, you know what's about to happen!

Yes, it is the Skitter Leaf! According to our dear friend Olimar, "The skitter leaf is a relative to the pond skater that shed its wings and adapted to life on the ground." Now, this raises questions. Why did the pond skater stop flying? What is a pond skater? The closest thing that fits that description is the Skeeterskate!

And Skeeterskate isn't even related to Skitter Leaf! It can skate on ponds, but in no game does it ever fly! Oh well. This post isn't about Skeeterskate, it's about Skitter Leaf.

Well, Skitter Leaf can camoflauge to avoid the danger! Pretty dang smart! Now, what are its attacks?

Wait, woah! The Skitter Leaf has no attacks! The Skitter Leaf is a pacifist! So it has camoflauge and it simply uses it for disguise! Great job Skitter Leaf. I am incredibly proud of you.

Also, Skitter Leaf has yellow below it, and I don't know what it is supposed to be! It's never mentioned by anyone in the Piklopedia, and Pikipedia says that it's an abdomen, but then, when the Skitter Leaf dies, where does its abdomen go!? In fact, when it dies, all of its limbs are gone!

Family - Why, the Grubdog family, of course!

The first little guy! And a little guy they are indeed! These fellas are small, and they are a member of the Grubdog family, along with Whiptounge bulborb. I feel bad for this guy.

...Wait a darn second! (Sorry for the obscene language) This is not a Bulborb, it's a member of the breadbug family! We've been tricked! Utterly tricked! Ah well. Well, what can this guy do? Well first of all, they can follow and chomp on Pikmin in close range. Rude, but understandable. I, too, would like to partake. Secondst, in Pikmin 1, it will screech if you bother it! Ow! This wakes up the larger Bulborb and I am frightened.

These guys sound impossible to beat! Well, do I have sad news for you. Throwing a Pikmin on it's back will kill the poor guy like a Super Mario Bros. For The NES Goomba!! Tragic.
