Look I fully support batman’s no kill rule for his character, I understand certain characters just don’t wanna do that. But I do think we’re in a drought of DC heros that shoot people in the head. like Red Hood should kill bad people and it should be viewed as heroic, i’m sick of this rubber bullets crap. Green Arrow should murder rich pedophiles, Wonder Woman should kill as a last resort. I want a spectrum, I want variety. give me political violence in my dc comics it’s baseddddd

I have very complicated feelings about Steph as Robin. Because yes there is potential and she deserves it and there are good moments but they were NEVER going to let her have it. She was always a gimic to sell books before they switched back to Tim after a month. Even in universe. So part of me wishes it never happened, because it's so undeniably misogynistic and gross. I wish she had just been allowed to be Spoiler, I wish that bastard had never killed her.

It is hilarious how willing Dick was to kill himself here. Over nothing.

He was fighting one guy. With a knife. Sure, it was Brutale, but like… this is not world-ending, unbeatable, crisis-level conflict. And yet he decides, without any hesitation, that this warrants him jumping off a roof. He did not even try to find an alternative. He was so fine with dying.

And possibly the only better detail is his reaction to John Stewart showing up by coincidence. It is not “oh my god, I was going to die”, or some justifiably dramatic reckoning over his behavior.

It was “Oh hi buddy! Happy to see you there. Yup, sure am, uh, glad. Shhhh.”
