Girls will see bare faced women

Your skin will feel better without harmful chemicals on it

I’ve noticed my skin feels much better and clearer since I stopped wearing makeup. It’s also so nice to not have to worry if something is smeared or when it starts raining. Highly recommend.

for women who agree with all this and want to do it but are too afraid to go out without it: i had unmanaged dermatillomania for years and i have a lot of scars, i was very, very self-conscious of. but truthfully, people really don’t notice or pay that close of attention. it was one of those anxiety things where i thought everyone was scrutinizing me much more closely than anyone ever actually does.

Honestly, girls/women look better with a bare face.  Unless you dedicate a disgusting amount of time learning about cosmetics, most of you wear them completely wrong and it just makes you look like a sloppy child playing at being grown-up.  Clumpy mascara, eyeliner out to your ears, BLUE EYESHADOW for Christ’s sake.  If you are not a professionally trained cosmetologist I can almost guarantee that your makeup looks like shit no matter how many “true crime make up tutorials” you watch.  And even when done by a professional, it makes you look like a cartoon character stuck halfway between dimensions AT BEST.  I don’t care what flaw you think you need to cover, just having a clean bare face looks 100% better than blanking out your skin tone with foundation and then re-drawing your features on with bronzer and highlighter.  Just be a person and have a face, no need to make it so fucking weird.

Other tips:

Accept that you are feeling the emotion instead of trying to ignore it or push it away

Remember that it won’t hurt you and doesn’t mean anything bad about you (for instance, feeling frustrated doesn’t mean you’re childish or something)

If the feeling persists after self-soothing, ask yourself what that might mean. Sometimes you just feel the emotion because you do, but sometimes there’s something else you can do to help yourself. Are you still feeling angry because you’re hungry or tired, and you need to eat or sleep? Is it an interpersonal problem that needs a solution, like do you need to draw stronger boundaries with somebody? Does everything seem hopeless and overwhelming because it’s after 9 pm and your brain is lying to you? (My brain always lies to me after 9 pm. It means I can put this train of thought aside for now and it’ll probably seem much less awful in the morning.)
