Some lore tidbits for an AU because no one could already guess my favorite characters.

Grimm is currently the only one allowed/capable of wearing the Troupe Mask, it does still burn when being worn, the Nightmare Heart just gives you a level of fireproofing. The Grimmkin's masks are a little similar to the Troupe Mask, but if their masks were ever removed they would probably cease to exist. The Grimmkin are sort of like lost souls, they don't have a whole lot in the way of sentience and generally only have one or two possible emotions at max, they're mostly just there to follow orders and perpetuate the Ritual. The Nightmares generally have a bit more of personality than the rest, though they don't talk much.

Also Grimmchild likes playing in the rain :D
