To all my Jay-Z fans
When would you say Jay-Z was at his peak? I wanna say during the time he dropped The Black Album but I don’t know enough about his earlier works to be sure
The boyfriend says Blueprint Vol. 2. To him that was the peak before the come up. I can’t debate any further but now he is running through his discography and I’ve created a monster. 😔
dont think he ever had a peak, just a decline. the black album was my fave but cant call it a peak when he wanted to retire…idk i guess it would be a peak in a sense that it was great and had no features (minus change clothes)
Black Album was his peak.
I always found that to be a bit weird of a question. Dude’s collection is so expansive (he does have 21 years of work). While I’ve listened through the list, I’d say “the cylinders” kicked in around, “Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life…-Black Album” as far as solo/popularity goes. College years were jammin as far as the discography went. Then, he left on his own 2 feet. That collab with Linkin Park was cool. As was, “Watch the Throne”. 4:44 was refreshing, it sounded like, “fatherhood” had kicked in some more. Ok Imma stop… I also forgot. Resonable Doubt is a requirement.
I’d say Jay-Z was at his peak, rapping and popularity, on The Blueprint. He was dropping a lot of hits around that time. Give It To Me, Izzo, Girls Girls Girls. Videos getting all the airplay. And because he reinvented himself after that album with the whole ditching the jerseys and throwbacks for button ups. Its like, he just became a brand from that point on.
Vol. 3 / Dynasty. Not even a discussion. That was Jay at his deadliest. After that he became comfortable cuz he stopped proving himself and only showed flashes of brilliance like on Dear Summer or when he felt challenged like on Renegade or the Freestyle on Flex when he came home from tour in Europe before KC.
i unmuted this and it was exactly what i hoped it would be
The last second is highly giffable if that's a word
Whats your opinion on Prince Naseem?

Motorcycles are obnoxiously loud for no reason. You have to be a certain level of dickhead to even own one, with the knowledge you’re inconveniencing other people
@kingjaffejoffer not all motorcycles are loud….some of us aren’t dicks….but the same is generally true for expensive sports cars. There are super satisfying you tube videos dedicated to people throwing food items at obnoxiously loud supercars who rev up in cities. You don’t really see that with motorcycles though…. I wonder why? Too personal cuz you can see the person. Or maybe hog riders are scarier than Ferrari drivers? Anyway, thought you’d enjoy a coffee getting thrown on a Ferrari for reving up in a city.
Exact reason why I would get it modified to limit the noise and power with the press of a button. The technology exists.

does anyone know the real reason why takeoff was left of bad and boujee
I’m not sure.
But even if he wasn’t there the night they recorded the song for whatever reason. They still should have just added a verse for him for when they perform the song live.
Kinda like how Jay-Z added a 4th verse on Big Pimpin so he could perform it when he wasn’t with UGK.
Seems like poor decision making on their part
What’s the minimum number of niggas in a rap group where you would expect every nigga in the group on every song. Like there wasn’t an expectation for Wu-Tang to feature every nigga in the group on every song.
Wu-Tang had 9 niggas. Nobody had an expectation that you can fit 9 niggas on every song.
A standard pop song has 3 verses. Migos got 3 niggas.
They coulda threw Takeoff on a bridge or a hook at least.
I think this was more or less Offset's welcome home song, I mean he did the hook, the bridge and his verse was long as fuck. Notice how short Offsets verse on T-Shirt is. But yeah Takeoff doin a fire verse when they perform live is a good idea.
