so peter didn't seem to have a steady job in brand new day and that's because one time spider-man got caught in a bodega scraping together pennies to buy a sandwich and the whole thing was recorded and posted online which led to someone opening a gofundme with a goal of like $5 called "buy spider-man lunch" and it mostly started as a joke but now it has like $100,000 of donations and while peter was at first grateful to be able to pay his rent and buy some food he is now begging people to please stop donating he doesn't feel right accepting all this money oh my god if you have to donate please just give it directly to f.e.a.s.t. he's donating the majority of it right back into his community anyway

i’m having withdrawals from brand new day it was such a good movie. i’m honestly just glad that i watched it before all the spoilers came out but i have left that theater as a brand new person. it really showcased the importance of having a support system and it made me feel so giddy inside.

ok so i just finished watching brand new day a few days ago and OH MY GOD it was so good. i can’t wait to see more of jean gray considering this is deadass the least powerful we’re going to see her. i’ve seen a ton of conspiracy theories and other talk abt thr movie. i wanted to show my pov on some of them and would love to hear yours!

1. mj crying because she remembered

the scene where jean freezes half of ny and we see mj crying was seen as “mj remembers peter now”. and lowkey i agree. jean gray can restore memories and since she noticed how alone peter was when she entered his mind, she could be helping him out with mj remembering. plus, she literally held the flower necklace he got her and went to their spot towards the end of the movie.

2. ned remembers peter

ok yes or no i’m not too sure. because people r saying he remembered after the handshake cause he said “peter” but peter literally introduced himself when he walked in. but in nwh, we saw that ned lowkey could do some magic and so maybe he could pull of remembering peter parker. i mean i hope for peter’s sake he remembers cause that’s his brother for life.

3. peter didn’t want to shoot his webs after the party.

this one broke me because i realized it too. after the house party and mj and ned’s, peter is so heartbroken and he was falling down and he didn’t use his webs until the very end. people speculate that he was trying to hurt himself or maybe even just stop existing all together, and it literally breaks my heart.

4. peter was okay with going away

when he got shot, he comforted jean by saying something along the lines of “it’s okay i’m okay”. people noticed when he was in infinity war, he was saying “i don’t want to go” but in bnd he was okay because he had nothing to lose and oh my god. like i totally see it and it is so sad.

5. the marvel intro.

this is a quick one but did u guys realize that in the intro every scene they showed had peter disappearing from it. it’s such a good detail and omg.
