A 7th gen Tremere that is fairly young (as she was embraced in 1973) as far as Kindred standards go, but is simultaneously pretty powerful and has proven her skills time and time again. Once an alumni of the at-the-time emergent Computer Science studies, she specialized in the development of computer algorithms. Desmond is very active in that field to this day, as she has kept up with the times and developed her skills and knowledge according to new discoveries and technologies.

She takes great interest in things being orderly and organized - when it comes to Desmond everything needs to be schematic and perfectly labeled or else she will panic and feel like she's lost control. This quirk became further excerberated once she was embraced within the Pyramid. Most see it as a pro, rather than a hindrance. For this reason, it's not at all surprising that she loves chess and everything about it: she has player skills on par with a Grandmaster, but she prefers using said intellect to develop algorithms and explore the intricate webs of programming instead.

Desmond is relevant for being Madonna's sire as well as one of the many power players during the events of VtM: Bloodlines in 2004. She aids Madonna and Temerice through some tasks during the story and in the general setting she is known around LA for developing an emergent anonymous internet network that rivals the Nosferatu's then-SchreckNet, called IntraWeb, which is generally offered and used by Camarilla associates.

Hearsay mentions she has great ambition of taking over the Chantry as its Regent, but who knows if those rumors are in fact true...
