something about dan and phil makes me feel so parasocial fr, not in the sense that i feel like i know them personally but just in the sense that i feel deeply proud of them. watching their growth over the last 10 years that i've been a fan truly feels so magical to be able to witness. it makes me emotional seeing how far they've come in terms of their own happiness and comfort level, and that has translated into my own blossoming comfort with myself and my own queerness and blah blah etc etc. you get the idea.

i think a lot of people don’t want to think of themselves as transmisogynistic in the same way a lot of people don’t want to think of themselves as racist. but these forms of oppression (among others) aren’t just calling people slurs or physical hate crimes against them. they’re systemic. they’re ingrained in the way society works. you may not think of yourself as transmisogynistic but that doesn’t mean you can’t (or haven’t) contribute to transmisogyny. and that’s something that should always be reflected on before jumping to defend yourself because you can’t possibly be transmisogynistic. always assume you can do better
