One Year

When someone asks, what makes her different? I show them these pictures.

I once felt I knew what love was. Something you sacrifice for, to make sure you don’t lose it. Doing so much and bending over backwards to get the other person to not only say “I love you,” but to feel validated by them. 

Yeah these things come into play once in a while, but with her, it’s simple. Just having someone with whom you can laugh. I wanted my relationships to resemble what I see on tv and movies. She gave me what I needed in reality. 

She challenged me, but not in a way that was ONLY work. It was reward through experience, pushing my boundaries and finding out that my level of comfort wasn’t anywhere I thought it would be. Butt stuff.

One year down, how many more to go?  You teach me truths - no lies that must be sewn. A fact about myself, A tie that binds us both. New things I had not felt, A love to make me grow. It sprouted from a seed, And now it is unhindered, I found just what  I need, I’m glad you hadn’t switched majors.
