Blood, Value, and Identity
A commentary On the Jew in me A commentary On racism in society The struggle of power and Hierarchy I’m white So I’m privileged Automatically
But I’m a woman Constantly fighting for Equality
And if I left it at that I could skate through life With relative ease
But people tend to choose The label that will best keep Others beneath their feet
So “Jew” is all I’ll be
And that’s alright be me Because I won’t let my value Be determined by humanity
I trust YAHWEH with my identity
