mizuki is one of the funniest and most underappreciated arknights characters. he gets introduced as a background gag in dossoles holiday with like 5 lines and a vague crumb of mystery regarding his fucked up tentacles and infinite hunger. for obvious ch'en the holungday reasons he's brushed aside and forgotten by most of the community and outside of his (good, but still extremely niche) viability as a unit he's not talked about. and Then he gets an entire roguelike season dedicated to him and it turns out he's a very literal eldritch abomination in the shape of a twink who has the capacity to ascend as a reborn god but he chooses not to do that because he likes being a little guy. and he just. Walks Around Rhodes Island Like That. he got turned into The Horrors but he kept his humanity because he's built different. and he's literally vibing!!! he has his godsona as his gamertag and he partakes in cannibalism on a regular basis and in an alternate universe he singlehandedly ends and then remakes the world but in the main arknights timeline he's Literally Vibing. he's literally just some little guy. he's literally the ultimate little guy. and he looks like this.

non-arknights fans must understand. mantra is a character we've heard about for years but for the longest time we didn't actually know what she looked like. we barely knew anything about her. and then one day the babel event finally dropped and we found out she's a tall bombshell gilf with a HUGE tail who barely talks but has insane psychic powers and (judging by her status as one of rhode's island elite operators) could 100% fold you like paper. and we've been left to sit on this revelation for another full year with no idea whether or not mantra would eventually go out like outcast (another hot old woman who got literally smited to death by god in chapter 9) because arknights is at heart an anime gacha game and it is not exactly predisposed to fanservice that doesn't center around the youngest 40 year olds you've ever seen. it was extremely unlikely mantra would ever become playable. it was a pipe dream. it was a myth.
