Digging through my 2010 DA I forgot I was in a few roleplay groups so I spent an hour this morning re-drawing Penriel the Grigori

Tried to keep everything fast and loose- still got a bit too caught up in the weeds but for a 60ish minute doodle I like him- plus it's nice to see the difference in my art.

Alright and with this we have 40 edited screenshots of Bikoubu added to 'her episodes'. They can be seen in chronological order over on toyhou.se but this was fun! Inserting her into 2 screenshots/episode was resonable and helps her feel (a little bit) more real.

I want to make one more nice Showcase piece of her for the top of toyhou.se and for art fight, but I'm happy with this

Came back from Anime Boston wanting to chew on the artist alley so I tried to play around with a new coloring style+ thin and confident lineart

You can see I'm abusing layer modes on top of greyscaled shadows and I like it but not That much. What I really want is to get smoother grayscales and be able to use them, but for now uhhh. Random test man and a Cheza (full shading and the soft layer abuse version)

maybe if i finally find a coloring style that i like+and is fast enough to use consistently I can work on compositions that aren't swirls....

I picked up a book of colors awhile ago with a bunch of pleasing sets of 9 that can easily be mix and matched. The first one is using all 9 of a combo, then 4, then just 3, and then for fun 9 for a sakura matcha look.

I did Not use rulers and csp is Not made for this type of clean graphic design work but. Here we are
