Alix Kubdel and Luka Couffaine are really interesting parallels to me. The Rabbit and Snake miraculous seem to be two sides of the same coin, just like the Ladybug and the Cat, but instead of representing opposing concepts, they are two sides of one concept. Think of it like the rabbit going back and forth and the snake going side to side; Alix can jump around in time, but she can't start over once a decision is made and can't interfere with events unless she's absolutely required to, and Luka can endlessly repeat a few minutes, but he has no say in how those minutes will play out.
The most interesting thing about it is *who* was chosen as a Snake and who was a Rabbit. Luka, a passive doormat who has no self esteem and no confidence, is forced to play an active role because of the nature of his powers giving him information and responsibility no one else has, leading him to be the sole bearer of the weight of how bad things could turn out, and how bad they've turned out before, the knowledge of all the ways the world could end weighing him down and crushing him. Alix, a confident, assertive spitfire who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to speak her mind, is forced into a hell of endless patience and has to watch horrible things transpire that she can't do anything about.
A lot of the time, miraculous powers give the user something they lack, but in Alix and Luka's case, it's more like a nightmare that was custom made in a lab to make them miserable.
also:
Alix has very distinct snake detailing on her clothing, and Luka's color pallette is the exact same as the rabbit miraculous.
+ Miraculous users are usually supposed to contrast their kwamis in personality. Alya deeply values honesty and truth, so she gets a little liar. Adrien is quiet and obedient and selfless, so he gets a hedonistic being of destruction. Alix and Luka, however, are eerily similar to their kwamis, with Fluff being as free spirited and noncomittal as Alix, and Sass being parental and calm like Luka.
Everything about them both feels like they really should have been in each other's roles, and the roles they do have make them miserable. A predator forced to be a prey animal, a prey animal forced to grow teeth and become a predator.
(other mirroring factors: Alix is a younger sister, Luka is an older brother. Their main color pallette is opposite on the color wheel. Alix has an absent mother, Luka has an absent father. Alix is one of the few people who question Marinette, and Luka goes with everything she says.)
