Why the name "PinsNotSaltPeter"? : It's not only a shout-out to 1776 and Abigail Adams's character, it just cracks me up as a name.

Why cats? Because they're adorable and as chaotic as the Second Continental Congress .

Will we ever see cats on your blog? If a cat post also relates to 1776, then yes ☺️

But why no cats for the sake of cats? I aim to consistently incorporate 1776 into every post (whether it's a poll, a gif, etc.).

Going through a self-harm relapse at the moment… Pretty much as bad as it’s ever been. But today, I won’t hurt myself. And tomorrow I won’t either. And I’ll keep trying not to hurt myself, one day at a time, bc it’s the only way to get clean. And I deserve to be clean. And so do you, all of you.
