i want to put my thoughts behind this: this was supposed to be a piece for pride month, titled "you were loved". the sky is the color of the aroace flag (just upside down)!

basically, i wanted to show an aroace person — an old aroace person, to be precise. being aroace myself, i am always told that i will forever be lonely and miserable if i don't get a partner. so showing grace, who is aroace to me, as old and happy and fulfilled and oh so loved by his best friend, was really important to me <3

in class and we were told to pull up chatgpt on our laptops to experiment with and the guy in front of me pulled up a deli menu and started looking at sandwiches

Imagine Grace defined his name as the elegance definition of grace and Rocky spends years thinking how fucking ironic this clumsy leaky space blobs name is.

Until Grace slips out a sentence along the lines of "could you give me a little grace here" and Rocky immediately points out he used a word wrong so Grace has to explain that yeah, grace means elegance but it can also mean mercy sometimes too.

And Rocky has to suddenly reconcile that the clumsy leaky blob that saved his life twice, that almost certainly doomed himself to come back for him, name is Mercy.

My backrooms movie review: 6.5/10 minor spoilers obv

Overall pretty good, definitely spooked me at some points, even though I only physically jumped once. The ambiance was cool tho, especially in the scenes that weren’t just yellow wallpaper.

The acting was pretty good too, especially the main guy (I forgot his name).

But it’s was also excruciatingly slow, and at a few points annoying. The pacing in a few of the scenes were SO slow, and I get it’s for suspense but they’re were too many slow scenes that imo it made it less impactful and more boring. Also the characters actions and logic were sometimes stupid af.

Also the gf girl (I also forgot her name) was SO annoying and whiny 🫩, the bfs realistic reactions were pretty funny, but he was also kinda annoying.

The “monster” or wtv was pretty cool but they should’ve kept it more hidden, especially his face.

But my dad really liked it so it might just not be my type of movie. 🤷‍♀️

tomodachi life should have a morality slider in character creation. so you can create characters who are jerks, to create more friction and have more interesting interactions. and if they meet the right person, an evil person can have a change of heart, or a good person can be corrupted to the side of evil
