Our Mission: The Pied Piper Youth Theater (PPYT) is dedicated to the nurturing of young people’s lives through an active participation in the theatrical arts. We strive to ignite children’s imagination by exposing them to the various creative art forms inherent in live dramatic/musical theater: e.g. literature, painting, music, dance, and scenic design. The Pied Piper Players is a 501(c)3 corporation.

Do you love to make people laugh? Would you like to take a class where goofing around is encouraged? Have you seen YouTube video bits and said “I can do that!”? Then Piper’s Pranksters is the workshop for you! We will take the basics of improv comedy and explore different premises to come up with zany scenes and ideas. We will work on physical comedy, timing, and the fundamentals of creating over the top, but believable and successful characters. Students will be encouraged to bring ideas, situations and characters to the class to work into the process. Students will rehearse written comedy skits by famous comedians and can also have the opportunity to create their own alongside the instructor. Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a one act musical based on the Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast.” Step into the enchanted world of Disney’s Beauty And The Beast JR. Featuring songs from the Academy Award-winning animated feature, this stage version includes music by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. (Musical Theatre International). Cinderella Kids is a one act musical based on the Disney classic “Cinderella.” The timeless fairy tale becomes a new audience favorite in Disney’s Cinderella Kids, an adaptation of the treasured animated film geared toward young performers. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends, and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince, and falls in love! AUDITIONS DETAILS FOR #LESMIS AT #PPYT! 🎭🎶 Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 from 2pm-6pm at the Pied Piper Youth Theater in Stormville. Address is below. Make-Up Auditions will be on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 from 2pm-6pm. You must email [email protected] for approval. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 from 2-6pm. Age Requirement: Open to performers entering middle and high school as of Fall 2014. A few elementary school roles are available. Audition Preperation: Please prepare a song of you choice that shows voice range as well as acting ability. Bring 32 bars to sing and sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and resume. If you don't have a resume, that's okay! You can just fill out the audition form at the theater. WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE!

With 3 winning awards in Outstanding Actress and Outstanding Ensemble, we are all proud of every single one of you.
