hey guys. faith here! :) long time no post. might start using this account again more regularly, both generally as a fangirl and to get more personal with my music and stuff bc i miss it!!! crazy to think i’ve had this account for over ten years. i’ll make another post about this but for now i’ll cut to the chase—
my song ‘arsonist’ comes out on friday jan 30 and it may be my favorite song i’ve ever written. ever since 2022 (when i first wrote it), whenever someone asked me what my favorite lyrics i’ve written are, this song was always the first to come to mind. not only does it have some of my favorite songwriting i’ve ever done, it may also be the most #byler song i’ve ever written. and completely on accident btw. and yes, real ones know i’m a huge stranger things fan, and that i’ve been a byler truther since about season 2. i do not mess around about that show or those boys. BUUUT anywho, i originally wrote it years ago about my own life - maybe will byers and i have more in common than i thought - and then i posted this video a week or so ago, and people in the comments started Noticing the byler of it all… bc byler nation is growing bigger and bigger by the minute. which is amazing. anyway, after someone pointed this same notion about my other song ‘seventeen’, which is out now!!!! and started realizing that almost every song i’ve ever written can be viewed within a byler context. i literally went through my released discography and there’s at least one or two lyrics in every song that can apply. now i need a million edits. some people have already made byler edits on tiktok to ‘seventeen’ too and i think about it every single Day.
