Session 1: A whole lot of exposition and roleplay. The party is a group of cryptids in custody "working" for my worlds (Vundabar) government (CoPS) in exchange for their freedom. They were sent to their country of origin (Dehd) known for its lack of natural resources and magic. It is an autocracy ruled by Stefan the Vicious who has ultimately separated Dehd into two classes, Royals and Dehdites. The party's mission is simply invade the country, get some information, done. Right?
5 CoPS who called themselves Agents 1-5 went with the party of 4 which includes, Abigail a warlock lich, Jack the demon warmage, Strix a shapeshifting moth-man rogue, and Silas a fighter who turns into a werewolf during the full moon.
Session 2: Two Agents stay behind their current base of operations as the other 3 lead the party through the East Star, the largest city on Dehd, where Stefan and the Royals live behind their walls. The party arrive at a dilapidated building. The Agents reveal they had received some information a week prior, some disturbing rumors regarding a family vanishing from that building overnight, and a cult. Once inside they begin to investigate and find abandoned furniture, glass bottles, and some dirty footprints leading up the stairs. They slowly made their way up and began to hear strange noise from inside one of the rooms, it sounded like a person, almost crying. They opened the door after some debate and saw a massive red tongue, white fur, and blood around a sharp stone atop the creatures head. The party screamed at first but afterwards the "tongue" turned around it was revealed to be none other than a completely naked man in a red robe with white hair who was committing an indecent act in the middle of the room. After a brief interview they learned his name was Thomas, he had no memory of how he got there only that he had been there for a couple days, the party also found a sharp rock that had been lodged into the back of his head. However, the Agents started to lose their patience and ordered the party to leave the room for a moment. Outside the door there was a brief moment of silence followed by a mix of gagging and a splat from some wet mass. Suddenly, the party could hear the Agents screaming as they opened the door to a horrifying sight, a dark puddle on the floor where black tentacles rose that tore at the Agents and dragged them down they all soon vanished into nothing. Blood, bits of meat, and Thomas were all that remained in the room who was frightened by the experience. He felt unwell, his vomit had created the dark magic that killed the Agents, and the party still didn't have their own weapons. That's basically the end I mean Abigail is staying behind with Thomas since she has some medical experience and the rest of the party will head towards the other Agents in hopes of retrieving their weapons, assuming they weren't devoured by the void.
