Huge atticwindowatdawn conversion dump [TS3]
I worked quite hard on this. It's from 7 of amazing atticwindowatdawns 'packs' .There even is collections file for each 'one', which is new for me. And i Highly recommend it. I also tried to have the objects poly count to 5K or below and there is a few over, but mostly it's under 5K. As always any issues let me know - Enjoy ദ്ദി •⩊• )

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate! Can you believe it's been 2 years since I released the original S3DT ?! 😮
This version brings the long awaited SCALING, as well as hotkeys for changing presets and a few other little things. Please take time to read through all the instructions. See THIS post for information about the rest of this mod.
These new hotkeys will only work when in Decorator Mode (Shift + D), similar to the other hotkeys. For some reason, the "Create Scaler" hotkey only works when moveobjects on is enabled.
PRESET SWITCHING
To switch between presets, pick up an object and use either (;) or (') keys (see diagram above) to move forward/backward. This will work with custom objects like paintings with lots of images, and also different patterns, including user saved presets!
SCALING
This mod uses a custom object to scale objects. You can buy it in Surfaces, Misc or use the hotkey (/) (see diagram) to create one immediately. Place your object on the scaler, and then pick up the scaler, not the object. Use hotkey (-) to make the object smaller and (=) to make it larger. To move your object, make sure to always pick up the scaler and apply any other transformations (rotation, changing height) to the scaler. The object will still be usable, and the scaler will disappear in live mode. Made the object so big you can't select the scaler anymore? Simply pick up the object in the slot, press 0 and it will switch the hand tool to the scaler so you can continue to move it.
NOTES & ISSUES WITH SCALING
When placing, sometimes it says "Location out of bounds", simply rotate or use MoveObjects on to get around this.
Sim animations will often look weird when using scaled objects.
Modular objects and certain large appliances will NOT scale.
Objects with slots and effects will also apply scaling to any objects placed in those slots, and the effects. So if you have a giant dining table, you'll get a giant chairs. Tiny fountain = tiny fountain effects.
Trees and bushes can technically be scaled, but its more of a compression of the leaves in and out, rather than proper scaling. You can do some cool stuff with this though!
If you have a scaler scaled to say, 200% and then clone that scaler, the new scaler will also be at 200%
EXTRA BUILD/BUY INTERACTIONS
These can be accessed by Shift + Clicking on any object in Build/Buy mode. 1. Remove Footprint - Removes the footprint from an object, allowing sims to walk through it or use other objects that would otherwise be blocked. This will remain even after you save and quit. 2. Disable Snow on Object - Disables snow on an object. Only for decorative objects, as functionality will be removed when you use this.

'Baddie Socials' Mod for TS3
Excited to be releasing my first interaction mod on Monday 9/29!
I was inspired by several amazing TS4 mods that add custom social menus for realism and added drama, and decided to try to bring that to the Sims 3!
Your sims can quickly make new enemies (or besties) with the use of the new Baddie Socials Menu. The mod uses EA animations (for now) and also adds 12 new custom buffs that will be given to your sims when using any of the 10 new interactions! Each interaction will be fully tunable so that you can adjust the relationship gains, sim availability (age & species), buff behavior, etc.
I am finishing up this mod and will be wrapping up my new 'Elder Socials' mod soon after. I also have quite a few ts4 to ts3 recipe conversions complete that I will hopefully be releasing soon! Note: I'm very new to the modding community so not exactly sure of the protocols around releasing conversions. I'm still waiting on a response from the original creators regarding permission (they will all be released for free as they are not my original mesh).

Average Polycount of EA Items in TS3: A Reference Sheet
I initially started this list as a personal “cheat sheet” that I could reference to ensure the custom content I'm downloading is appropriate for gameplay when it comes to polycount (and because I intend(ed) to learn how to make my own cc). I decided to share in case others find it useful.
I’m not a Maxis Match purist or anything like that, but purging high-poly CAS items from my cc folder eliminated in-game stuttering for me entirely. For some reason, this is rarely mentioned in discussions about gameplay optimization. Polycount does matter.
There’s a lot of absolutely gorgeous but incredibly high-poly cc out there that is simply not gameplay friendly for the average player. As we see an influx of first-time or rusty players migrating over from TS4, I think it’s important people are aware of this (both players and creators alike).
This might be a nonissue for those whose focus is on CAS and pretty screenshots, or maybe for those who have beastly gaming pcs/graphics cards etc.
But for players whose focus is on actual gameplay, high-poly cc can be detrimental.
With that said, below the cut you can find a list of average polycounts for some EA clothing/objects to use as a reference.
Omg, thank you! I wanted to do the same thing for ages, but never really got around to it. This will come in very handy! You may also be interested in my newest essay on what matters more, vertices or polycounts (spoiler alert: they both influence performance), and what it means when the vertex count is much higher than the polygon count!
For anyone who wants to check CASpart polygon counts and get info on the LODs as well, you can check out this handy tool by Kitlith, called geom_tri_count. You can simply drag one or more CASpart packages onto it and it will display the polycounts of it (of all LODs) and also give you a list of the findings as a CSV file (it gets overwritten every time you use the tool though, so if you need the info, make sure you rename it).
Since it doesn't seem to be available to download anymore, I have reuploaded it here (redistribution is permitted by the MIT license).

A readme with instructions is included, but here is an additional explanation from MissPat from the TS3 Creator's Cave Discord on how to use it: "Drag and drop your entire ccmagic/contents/packages folder onto this tool (exe program). In the terminal window, you get the highest vertex, all poly counts for all meshes within the package, and if there’s more than one sub-mesh, the number of sub-meshes. You can also check the CSV file that the program outputs on your desktop, it will have a breakdown of what the high poly items are. Use case for simmers: Identify and remove high polycount CC, or set this type of CC to "not valid for random"."

Thank you for putting this together. I will shout this from the rooftops for as long as I'm simming.
Pay attention to the CC polycount you put in your game.
Especially if you are PLAYING and not just dressing your sims in CAS for that pretty posed screenshot. Because your game is gonna run like ass 💩 if you have 500 hairs at 50k poly's and all 900 sims in your world are wearing them with all this high poly decor splashed around the house! I'm serious! 🤦🏻♀️
