Introductions

Hello and welcome! I am Aphelion and my pronouns are they/he/neos. This blog is going to be all about my plans for my upcoming prospect. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I’ve had to retire my successful Multipurpose Service Dog earlier than expected. I’ve learned a ton since I was first training her, and so I want to compile all of what I’ve learned to hopefully help others and gain more of a community. More about me: I have many disabilities due to two rare genetic disorders, one of which I am one of 1000 people. Due to these disabilities, it has caused many multi-system issues. A Service Dog gives me the independence I need. The drive to get up in the morning. The confidence to go out and about day to day. The safety of being able to prepare for upcoming episodes or stop them entirely. My Service Dog has saved me countless of times. My retiring Service Dog is named Azalea and she is a 4 year old Dutch Shepherd/Labrador mix. She is retiring due to unforeseen circumstances that have caused her to be more protective of me and less trusting of other people than my family. Circumstances in which I will not dive into. I plan to crowdfund for a new prospect. The puppy will be from a reputable Standard Poodle breeder. I only care for temperament, so it's gender or color doesn't really matter. I've already narrowed down the names, however, as well as fake names I'll give random people. Male: KN's I'm Burning Through the Sky "Apollo" (Fake Name: Rocket) Female: KN's Sunlight from the Heavens "Amaterasu" (Nickname: "Ammy") (Fake Name: Okami) I've decided to make this account as an educational account to document my plans on training my new puppy for when I get the funds necessary for the puppy, and then once I get my puppy, documenting our journey as a team!
