1. Day to day they probably live in a cabin, a cave or a compound they found in the middle of nowhere surrounded by their tigers. Victor wakes up first and goes scampering around in the woods and the snow. He roams a lot. Arkady hardly ever even goes outside the immediate area of where they live unless he has to. Arkady also does most the cooking, tidying, maintaining and monitoring the security. Heās a lot more worried about being found than Victor is. Not that Victor doesnāt have to worry, heās just not aching over it constantly like Arkady.
Except for the occasional supply run into the closest civilisation (which is still hours and hours away) everything they eat or use is something Victor and the tigers bring home. Victor is out at odd hours and the time varies but when he is home, heās very cuddly and all over Arkady. Arkady does not mind. The closest other thing they have for entertainment (that isnāt each other ;)) is Victor gets into Arkadyās security system to use the radio.
2. Iām of two minds over marriage. I think theyād definitely talk and think about it. Victor would suggest it first but itās debatable how much heād mean it and how seriously heād take it. Worrying about the future in depth isnāt his thing. Arkady wouldnāt suggest it but once it was suggested, heād keep thinking about it and would want it more but be too afraid of making things awkward to bring it upā¦even though he does want that.
3. They both definitely have nightmares at some times. Victor is more likely to cope by trying to run off into the woods and go missing, try to sort himself out on his own. Arkady used to let him at first but heād go missing for days and then Arkady would worry, so now he chances him down, wrestles him and drags him back. Itās not conventional but Victor likes it. They both have healing factors so he can go all out and work off all his stress and frustration as much as he needs. After that, heāll be forced to have a bath and then have Arkady hover around him for the next few days, not asking questions but always watching.
Arkady does his best not to act like he has those nightmares. Itās embarrassing for him to be seen like that. Victor can always tell though and will bother and pester him until he gets some kind of reaction, whether itās confirming that something is wrong or seeing that heās getting better, and then will be all over him like the big cat he is. Neither of them are very good with words, nor are they naturally affectionate, but managing some sort of physical intimacy is easier than trying to come up with comforting words from people who have barely ever known comfort. Itās the support that ultimately matters. Theyāve had different experiences but are both deeply traumatised.
4. Arkadyās version of romantic actions for Victor is very much caretaking, watching, keeping silent but doing things for him. He makes sure to keep him clean, likes tidying his hair, bandaging him up, making sure thereās food and somewhere to come home to. Arkady isnāt a romantic, at least not obviously, but he provides security and stability. Heās also a very good listener. Victor can talk about whatever he likes, roam around the woods with the tigers and be however he wants, Arkady wonāt deny him the freedom to do thatā¦but he also adds a level of structure. Arkady doesnāt know how to be typically affectionate and romantic but he really does make an effort. Heās always quietly terrified that Victor will leave him behind again.
