Benjamin Franklin - Magic Circle, “Experiments and Observations on Electricity”, 1750. Each radius of this Magic Circle (including the center entry) sums to 360, as does each annulus. Franklin has also highlighted 20 “excentric” annuli, each of which, together with the central 12, sums to 360.

The night I turned 18 I was out at a bar on Pender Street in Vancouver with a few friends. A random lady was like, "hey, is it your birthday? Do you guys wanna come see a legend?" She ushered us out of the bar and into a small underground (literally) club that was packed with people. (Note that at 18 I was underage in Canada...so that alone was pretty awesome to my barely legal mind).
There was nowhere to sit but at the foot of the stage, cross-legged and smushed virtually two feet in front of the performers. A short black man came out and started to play guitar. He played for probably an hour and a half, and at the end he gave me a tiny pin that said BB King on it. He told me, "That's how we'll know we met! Happy birthday, sweetheart." I had that pin for years but lost in in the fire along with most everything that existed of my life before the age of 25, but i'll always remember his smile and those sweet, sweet guitar blues. RIP sir.
we are speaking of love. a leaf, a handful of seed - begin with these, learn a little what it is to love. first, a leaf, a fall of rain, then someone to receive what a leaf has taught you, what a fall of rain has ripened. no easy process, understand; it could take a lifetime, it has mine, and still i’ve never mastered it - i only know how true it is: that love is a chain of love, as nature is a chain of life.

paracosm
(noun) Psychology. Paracosm is an extremely rare word defining the imaginary world constructed in one’s mind, specifically by children. It is an infinite fantasy, anything can exist from animals to aliens and entities foreign to outsiders. Anything is possible in this fantasy milieu, one has their own language, experience, geography and history. Parcosm is usually developed as a result of high creativity, problem-solving, and others theorize: high intelligence. (via ballion)
