There is a world far away populated by graceful and beautiful winged beings gifted with immortality, where an ancient conflict still rages. Like so many conflicts, this war split families. Those that fought against them saw their kin as tyrants, creatures incapable of seeing the larger view, who would sacrifice individuality and freedom for the illusion of efficiency and safety. Morgana was one who fought against what she perceived as the tyranny of her kind, and for that she was branded ''fallen.'' Morgana was not innocent, having plumbed forgotten ways to gather forbidden might to become a powerful mistress of the black arts. This goal was driven by her obsession to defeat the general of the opposition's army - her sister, Kayle.

Sarah Louise Kerrigan was a psychic Terran female. She began her career as a Confederate ghost and later became the second-in-command of the Sons of Korhal. Following Arcturus Mengsk's betrayal, she was captured and infested by the Zerg Swarm, ultimately becoming the self-proclaimed Queen of Blades (a.k.a. the Zerg Queen) and leader of the Swarm.

Firiona Vie is the daughter of king Tearis Thex of Felwithe and a notable warrior known as the Paladin Princess. She appears to be a beautiful woman with a light blue two piece outfit and cape, but her outfit has changed with some expansion packs to where she has blue and gold armor at present. Her hair is blonde and tied up in the back, she wears earrings, a necklace, and other jewelry to match her outfit. She had a staff, but lost it to the Iksar. She is also capable of using swords.

Killia’s a powerful demon with a personal vendetta against Void Dark and wanders the Netherworlds to exact his revenge. He dislikes making allies, but when fighting the Lost he rescues Seraphina and is reluctantly drafted as her vassal. Killia burns calories furiously fast, and thus needs to eat often and will do so whenever the chance presents itself. He prefers rare ingredients for his meals and will go to extremely dangerous locations to obtain them.
