Hello people of the internet!

Its been a second. Things have been crazy busy; dealt with a lot of pressure to get things done, started to feel some burnout, but I am here again!

I wanted to talk about two main things. @askjedandoctnatm and my NATM crochet idea.

For my ask, I am still working on some drawings. It is a bit hard to find motivation when I am dead tired, but I try to push through a bit and make progress, so expect a new post soon!

As for the crochet project, I had an idea to make a blanket that looks like the tablet in night at the museum. I have been trying to find as many pictures of the tablet as I can, (let me know if there's a place I should be looking!) And I wanted to tell people about my process as it goes along. So finding reference pictures is the main task now, then the planning can begin!

My 2025 Halloween crochet costume.

So for context, I started crocheting in Spring of 2024. I had previously only done a bit of knitting and loom knitting. I had attempted a few times to do crochet and it finally clicked then. After I got the hand of it, I felt an obsession starting. I was thinking of tons of new projects, including making my own Halloween costume that year in 2024. I made a Luigi costume with bernet blank yarn by making a green sweater and overalls. It was a very warm costume but I proud of myself for making an entire wearable costume.

So for 2025, I wanted to take it to the next level and use a regular weight weight, (size 4 for context) to make a costume. I had gotten into TMNT over the summer and decided to make a Leonardo costume that would be based off the design of TMNT 2012 Leonardo.

After a looking at a ton of reference pictures and drawing a few drafts, I finally came up with this design option.

For people who know of the crochet process and want more details, I will provide some here.

I used half double crochets for the sweater, making it with two panels for the body and the arms separate. I used the brown from the back of the sweater and surface crocheted the lines on the front part of the sweater. For the front beige part, I just kind of improvised and decreased to make the two points. It was definitely a trail and error thing, but I eventually found a look that I liked. For the beanie, I found a crochet slouchy beanie tutorial to make for the ninja mask inspired look. For the gloves I was able to use a fingerless gloves tutorial as a reference then was able to free hand it to make them look like the turtle hands.

Overall, I was really proud of my accomplishments to challenge myself and make a new costume for Halloween. I hope you enjoy and if there are any questions, feel free to ask me. I am attempting to share more of my crochet stuff, so let me know if you like it.

McCoy was trying to grasp with the fact that he had feelings for the two coworkers he was closest to, despite a lot of initial denial and annoyance.

The 3 men are dealing with emotions, logic, and reasoning in new ways than ever before. How will they figure out and navigate the new feelings between the 3 of them?

Heyo fellow nerds!

I updated my Star Trek Fic on A03 yesterday. For context, it was originally going to be a Spirk fic, but it felt like it was missing Bones. So I asked if I should switch over to McSpirk with a poll on here, and McSpirk won! I was able to add the 3 POVs, Spock, Bones, and Kirk.

I did change the name of the fic to hopefully represent more of the McSpirk ship. I hope you enjoy!

Internet users, but especially those in the Night at the Museum Fandom.

A while back I was able to order some NATM stuff online from eBay, and if you have ever tried to order NATM stuff, it is not an easy task. There is a very limited amount of stuff :<, but! I was able to purchase two hats, a poster and a Jedediah toy from Wendys. I am honestly so excited because it arrived a bit ago and I love it.

I also went to an event where you could customize your own stuff, like keychains, magnets, metal signs, stuff like that with pictures you choose from your phone. So of course I made a keychain with Jedediah and Octavius. The joy in which I felt I could not describe, it was great. Then I was able to make a metal sign with the picture of the Jedtavius hug from the Battle of the Smithsonian. It is amazing and I love it.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian!!!!!

Another update!

I am currently working on a crochet sweater that has elements of Night at the Museum.

I found a pixel art version of a t-rex skull and thought, "that would make a hecking cute sweater! Plus it will use up some of the left of yarn I have!" So it has been started.

I have a few rows of this olive green color on the bottom then I worked on the pixel tapestry dino over the course of about 3 days. I think it looks really cool! I am still plotting out the idea for the back of the sweater but I am thinking of making it say Night at The Museum on it. I just need to find a good pixel art maker to make the actual image for me to reference. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Heyo friends and foes.... You know who you are.

Rewatched Night at the Museum again last weekend, but this time with my roommate who hadn't seen it before. While we were doing something else, my roommate asked if we could watch the other Night at the Museum movies, and I was like !!!! Absolutely! I was so excited to know that my roommate liked the movies and even asked me before I could ask them if they wanted to watch the sequels.

Also! I went on eBay and saw some Night at the Museum related items, like hats, a poster, and a toy I really wanted. So I bought them! I am so fricking excited about this!!!!

Hope this doesn’t come off as a weird question but do you roleplay?

When you say roleplay, I am assuming it is for specific characters in a fandom, (hopefully this is what you mean and if not, I am sorry for misunderstanding) I personally haven't roleplayed before, especially not in a group. This isn't for any bad reason, it's just hard I am sure to find people interested in it. But I would be open to it depending on the fandom!

Heyo Internet Nerds!!

I am mostly out of the horrible and overwhelming feeling of feeling stuck with my creativity. I felt like their was a wall preventing me from feeling ready to post my art and writing. It was so draining to have such low motivation to work on what I was passionate about. I love making content for the fandoms I am in but it felt 10 times harder than usual to work on my projects. So after a break, I feel a lot better. I am attempting to have less pressure on myself and try to not over stress myself with expectations.

Updates;

@askjedandoctnatm is continuing! I love drawing the both of them and Night at the Museum has kept me motivated to keep creating even when times were tough mentally. I have a plot line planned, but feel free to add additional questions if you’d like.

I hope to update about my TMNT Halloween crochet costume (and a little bit of my process) sometime within the week. I am very excited to share my crochet projects, and if people like to see my ideas, I could always share more.

I have been working on my fics to continue to add more updates, but I do not want to rush myself. I am incredibly thankful for all the support and kindness from people who enjoy my writing.

I also plan to post more of my art, I have a goal of writing and drawing everyday this year, so I will hopefully have more art to share.

Holy cow my fellow internet users.

This week has been actual hell for my mental health. BUT! I am FINALLY able to do more things that bring me the happy vibe, aka updating my fics and drawing more; both Jedidiah and Octavius + other characters I am really into. So I am exhausted but happy that the huge amount of work is over. You should expect some more work being posted. Like my Halloween costume that I promised to tell about my process! (I have been so overwhelmed and busy, that I haven't had the mental energy to make this post, but I have not forgotten!) I also plan on posting about some past and current crochet projects as well.

Hello goofy goobers! I have updated my Lazy town fic on AO3 (I know it's been a while, I have felt so overwhelmed with my work load but thankfully things are becoming less stressful so I will aim to work on more updates)

Heyo~ I saw your post so I thought I'd send an ask about your question: Writing yourself into a fandom universe is called self insert (or self ship if you're going ship-y with it) Under these tags you can find lots of stuff here or on ao3. Sometimes it's literally just inserting yourself into the universe, or it can be a OC that's very similar to you or a sona. Some say it's cringe but as long as you're having fun, don't let anybody stop you! Fandom is for having fun! Looking forward to you sharing some of your fandom crochet stuff, it's such a fun way to be creative in fandom~ Have nice day :D

Does anyone else who writes ever write themselves into a fandom universe? Like if they were in the universe, how would they interact with the characters, an AU version of yourself? Or am I just mentally ill/have problems with connecting with real life people?

Besides that, I have been working on my art, my writing, and figuring out how to post about my Halloween TMNT costume that I crocheted. But I also feel very overwhelmed to hurry up and do it, but I think it's due to burnout in real life and not feeling like I have anything to show for the work I put in. But I am working on it!

I often have to remind myself that with my mental illnesses, it literally makes me feel bad even when I am doing a ton of work. The lack of consistent motivation also makes it hard with ADHD. Drawing, writing, and crocheting definitely helps keep me sane, but I need to take the time the projects need. Seeing others work inspires me to continue even when I feel discouraged.
