I’m going to be honest, this is probably the funniest thing a straight person has ever said
But sir this is my emotional support hateful slur
THIS is what the government doesn’t want you to know
How deep does this go?
It’s a video of a deer falling through a plastic castle toy while Phil Collins plays over the soundtrack. Is this what the kids are masturbating to these days?!
This is so
Unnecessary

when theres fandom discourse and youre just trying to have a good time
it is a scary thing to admit to yourself that you are worth other people’s time but i assure you it is true
Oh, you’re a devil’s advocate? Let’s hear your argument against Pope Francis’ canonisation of Francis-Xavier de Montmorency-Laval.
@actualrealexplode7 replied:
what?
Up until 1983, the “Devil’s advocate” was an official role within the Catholic Church, whose job was to argue against the canonisation of saints. That’s where the term comes from. The joke is the idea of gatekeeping people who claim to be “just playing devil’s advocate” by demanding that they present an on-the-spot argument against a randomly chosen canonisation.
@siliquasquama replied:
I’m kind of bummed that they got rid of the actual position
Blame John Paul II. He was a big fan of canonisation – more saints were canonised during his pontificate than during the Church’s entire history prior to his tenure as Pope – and he didn’t feel like going to the trouble of formally justifying each one, so he just abolished the process entirely.
my favorite era in history is the one where people discovered you could make cartoons out of typography and newspapers would run articles that were just like “today dennis the intern figured out how to draw a dog with the typewriter so here it is”
I think we should kill every man who wronged megan fox
i think this glosses over something megan said, and that we all know to be true: a lot of women threw her under the bus, a lot of women shamed and insulted her, called her stupid, bimbo and a whore. That was literally her public image for a long time as an actress. And we as women shouldn’t collectively absolve ourselves form our part in harming her, and from participating in that kind of culture. Saying things like “women don’t treat other women in the public sphere like that anymore” isn’t an excuse. Plenty of men were undoubtedly creepy and disgusting towards Megan Fox, but many women stood by and either cheered them on or actively participated. That is something we have to recognise if we expect to grow, and continue to do better.
apple just announced new emojis. these two are my favorite.
