Aether is the first to notice and rises to his feet, Paimon following his gaze before you look. Her heart stops as she stares, the wooden box keeping her grounded. She feels weak but forces herself forward. Watching you stand to your feet and say something to Paimon. She seems to disagree before floating off.
You turn back to her, smiling, and once she moves closer, she can hear you. She hears her name leave your lips and her breath gets stuck. “... Y/N...” It comes out breathless. Standing five feet away, Aether stares at her with a knowing look, holding onto your hand. “You came...” You smile as she nods, Aether speaking up next. “I didn’t think the Abyss Mage would actually listen.”
“Anything having to do with you Y/N... I—I told them to tell me...”
“I- I’m glad.” Her face flushed red, and she takes another step forward. 4 feet apart. Burning your image into memory. The last time she saw you, you were within Aether, in all the same pleading for her to return so that they could leave together.

Snow softly fell from the sky as the moon peeked through the clouds. “It’s a gift for you. Y/N...” she murmurs. Sliding the box into your lap, watching you stare at the box with loved filled eyes. “Lumine... You didn’t have to....” Her hands, entwines with yours, kissing the back of it softly.
“I--” Your words fall flat, as Aether lifted your other hand, nipping the back of it, before placing a gentle kiss. Now decorates the landscape and melts the moment it hits your hot skin. It’s only snow, but a promise has been frozen in time.

“I knew it!” He shouts in joy. He has to meet you, talked to you, stood beside you. Showed his skills and his smarts. Shared his riches. Childe is sure you come to him and use him as a vessel. Though Zhongli merely sighs, his eyes on the flames, watching them twist and dance, so lively. He opens his mouth, speaking simply. “You forget you clashed swords with the Traveler.” His words are plain, but hold silent venom, as Childe in realization frowns.
He fought you and probably hurt you through the traveler. He sulks, unable to finish his tea as Zhongli simply watches. He can’t help but look at his hands, thinking of when he first felt your presence within him. “I’m their first vessel. I’ve been with them since the beginning. My power rivals yours.”
“Shall we put it to the test?!”
Before the twin could speak, your voice mixed with theirs, spoke up, silencing the two with a quick no. Your gaze moving to Childe, a gaze mixed with fondness and curiosity. “My vessel...? If you want to fight with me, then you can...” Zhongli watched silently. This is the most he heard you talk, usually leaving the twin to speak for you.

Closing time comes quickly as people file out into the snowing city of Mondstadt, Venti dragged home by Diluc, as Kaeya remains settled in the Tavern chair, silently waiting. What if they thought you were a fake?
A fake God that took Aether as your vessel to lie and doom all of Teyvat. You don’t act as if you’re a God, so among the Archons and others, it raises suspicions.
You act as if your humans and such lies are deceitful.
The flames are hot, and Aether clings to the body made for you. You both stagger and trip over yourself. The townspeople tried to burn you both alive. Aether is furious, but you. Innocent sweet, you stood shock and bewildered as voices screamed and cheered. Cheering to the death of the fake God.
“Aether...”
Your voice shivers and quakes, and he feels nothing but regret and pain. “My God. Forgive me.” He holds onto you, pulling away from the burning building. Finding a safe cave to hide you in. You have poured your sweat and tears into the world and have saved nation after nation.
“Aether... I-” Laying on the small pallet of leaves, have, and furs. Aether looks up from the fire, making soup from a metal pot he stole. The sun had set hours ago, yet you hadn’t slept. The murder attempt took place days ago, yet the idea still haunted you.
“Rest. I will figure out something...” His voice is uncertain as he smiles, placing the bowl to the side and placing the ladle down. He crossed to your side, pulling the blanket further over your build. Watching your eyes droop before you slip into sleep. You're still so weak, he frowns. Albedo had yet to perfect your body, and now, Aether would die and be reincarnated a billion times, before he’d trust the alchemist again.
Every day, while you slept, he would disappear. Stealing food and supplies, and striking down any that saw him and while you were awake, he stood by your side, helping you walk and eat, helping your body adjust to this world.
“Y/N. Your body is getting stronger.” He praises you proudly, watching you walk for the first time without the wall nor his help.
“I am!” You cheer yourself on, smiling at him.

The wind recites and floats across Teyvat with joy, for the earth would never betray the true God of Teyvat. A lonely soul listens to the wind in the sails that crossed the sea and spread their joy. He listens closely and can’t help but drawn to the joy.

The moment he stepped into Mondstadt, the wind seemed to pull him, leading him to a cave. The moon is high and shines, and his sword in a mere second clashes with another. The Traveler’s. Your vessel, Aether.
He had been told you and he were dead.
He is shock and Kazuha pulls away. “You are alive?” His words are filled with shock, but Aether doesn’t stop his assault. They trade blows and Kazuha tries to speak. Tries to get answers. “Aether. Let us talk. The wind recites you rage, but this is not the way.”
“Shut up. You're all traitors.” Aether’s words are harsh and fights with all this strength, till a voice above the fight speaks. As if you spoke with the wind, they both freeze. Aether gazes darts to you, and as if forgetting his old friend’s existence, already by your side. “You should be resting.” His voice is soft, with none of the malice like when he spoke to Kazuha.
“You can’t fight everyone... Only the nations and the Archons... Only them hurt me... Aether….”
The feeling dawns on you; it wasn’t a mob that burned your home down; it wasn’t angry townspeople; they knew nothing of you. But it was those who had become your vessel, those who had befriended you. And the Archons you created.
The wind doesn’t lie.
Kazuha eases himself to your side, touches your shoulder in silent disbelief. “I thought you—They told me—I—” The lonely soul is lost for words and clings onto you, ignoring the way Aether scowls, but you slowly ease into his touch.

Her fingers drummed against the book, watching you read, trying to gather information of creatures. Creatures abnormal to that of Mondstadt and from across the sea in Inazuma. She pretends as if she isn’t paying attention, simply indulging herself in the important novels, a pleasant smile on her face. Every time you ask of what she’s reading, she simply shrugs, saying it’s boring. Her fingers fiddling with the edges of her skirt, before sliding it upwards. Her expression neutral, she lets nothing slip as she imagines you, from mere pictures that were painted. Imagines it’s you and her in the smutty erotic novels she reads, you and her closer than ever. Trading her fingers with yours, she bites her lips.
“Is the book good?”
You ask again and her gaze flickers to you. Before looking at the pages. She lets out an airy hum and a small chuckle. She closes the book with one hand, staring at you again. “It could be better. Though--” She pauses, pressing her legs together, as she slides her wet hand through her thigh, drying them off slightly and brings them to her lips, as if she was merely thinking.
