the most interesting thing about news coverage on palestine is how pervasive liberal zionism and jewish exceptionalism is. the second most interesting thing is the different ages of reporting. we had non stop reporting on october 7 (fun fact i only remember that date because its 50 years and a day after the yom kippur wars beginning, a time when pan arab forces had a decent military and egypt and syria were more based), then we had the regular x people got bombed today with a particular building sometimes. we have had this continue mainly as a method to dehumanise the palestinian nation, using hamas run and gazan to further remove reporting from the genocide. we then entered the age of journalists, were every second story was non palestinians getting killed like aid workers and journalists. the next age was the media running 50 million stories on the arab nations willing to stand up to israel, obviously not in any positive light (yemen, iran, lebanon, etc). now, in the current era we have the amount of people starving to death everyday. i find it kinda weird that it’s covered by news now? because like, starvation has been a massive problem since day one. in fact the majority of deaths would be attributed to starvation.
