Days after Harry Styles’ comment about gender and sexuality became a viral talking point, his bandmate Louis Tomlinson showed his support for the recently out Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Support Harry & create a safe space for sharing our thoughts!
In an interview earlier this week Harry Styles indicated that he didn’t consider gender an important factor in a significant other - implying that he may not be straight. As supporters of all LBGTQIA+ members of the One Directions community, we want to show him our love, and just how many of us there are who’d support him if that were the case. We know he doesn’t have the time to read all of our tweets, but something we CAN do is make sure that our LBGTQIA+ support is directly visible all over our social media accounts, in everything we tweet, like, post & reblog.
We made a badge for your icon, to show you love for Harry, no matter what his sexuality is - here it is for you to use! See instructions below. We ask only one thing in return: that you make your blog a safe space for all fans, and that you will not tolerate homophobic or any other kind of bullying.
In short - with this badge you express:
That you support Harry no matter what
That you support all LBGTQIA+ members of the 1D community
That your blog/twitter/facebook/instagram is a space where questions about LGBTQIA+ issues can be asked and thoughts about recent events can be shared without judgment - no matter what a person’s fandom history is, given of course they approach you and your followers in a respectful manner.
That you will not tolerate any bullying, homophobic or otherwise on your blog/twitter/facebook/instagram.
How to add the badge to your profile picture:
Quick way, for Twitter and Facebook profile pictures (with picbadges)
Go to http://www.picbadges.com/badge/3758272/ (does not work from mobile devices, unfortunately)
Click “collect”.
Follow the step-by-step instructions
Wear your rainbows with pride and spread the word to others!
Slow way, but works for pictures on all platforms (with online-image-editor)
Download the badge image file to your computer by right-clicking this link and choosing “save target as”.
Go to http://www.online-image-editor.com/
Click “choose file”. Choose the image you want as the BACKGROUND of your profile picture (i.e. your normal profile picture). Then click “upload”.
In the green tabs, switch from “basic” to “wizard” and click “overlay image” in the navigation bar.
Click “choose file” and choose the badge image file you just downloaded, then click “upload”.
Drag the “resize frame” control to make the badge the right size to fit with your background image.
Drag the badge to where you want it on your background image, then click “apply”
Your new icon/profile pic is done! Click “save” in the navigation bar, then “save local” and save to your computer.
Upload your new safe spaces profile picture to your social media sites, wear your rainbows with pride and spread the word to others!

We are nothing alike. I’m not… Arrogant? Self-centered? Controlling? Sure you are. Face it, we’re not good people.
Tumblr isn’t going to revert back to the old dimensions.
They changed the format to earn money. They’re not going to change it back simply because the fandom side of Tumblr writes up a petition or strikes for a day.
The choice is then to either start using the new dimensions or continue using the old dimensions. And considering that you cannot upload a graphic larger than 500px without Tumblr re-sizing it back down to 500px, this aspect of the new dimensions is faulty. Graphic makers will be unable to upload 500px graphics without them being blurry.
So it is in the best interest of everyone to use the old dimensions.
Install this style script for your browser and your dashboard will revert back to the original photoset dimensions. Copy and paste this style script to your theme html to revert back to the original photoset dimensions.
It kills me that we have to fix this ourselves. But we are capable. We can stick to a united front: one that acknowledges this change is terrible and that we don’t have to adhere to it.
I love fandom and I love graphics and I want to continue to be a part of a community that shares them. So please, please, save not only the hard work fandom has put into graphics in the past but also the chance to create more in the future. Thank you.
No one is required to forgive you if you fuck up. No one is required to accept your apology. You make an apology to accept your wrongdoing, that you understand it and to announce a responsibility to improve. Not to solicit forgiveness. If forgiveness is given, great, but no one is obligated to forgive. Ever.

- You know, it’s weird. Most of the time I really hated you. - Yeah, I really hated you too.
