i hate sports fans who insist on being levelheaded and not just because they're uppity but because they fundamentally misunderstand the appeal of sports which is narrative flair and pathos and PIZZAZZ. like ohtani, possibly the greatest baseball player in history, having a massive gambling addiction isn't "bad for the game" (except maybe for the dodgers' japanese brand deals) it's an amazing plot twist. it makes him a tragic hero. have a little fun with it ffs
