"There is absolutely no way that your theory is possible, fox." Shadow said, crossing his arms matter-of-factly with a huff.
No, in reality, Shadow simply refused to believe any of it.
"Well, Shadow, when was the last time you actually saw yourself?" Tails asked hesitantly.
Shadow raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, fox? That seems irrelevant to our current situation…"
His words were laced with an air of irritation. Tails stood and walked over to a far wall, and carefully plucked a large mirror off of the wall, holding it in front of Shadow. The fox peaked around the side of the mirror and looked at the dark hedgehog.
"I'm sure that you have noticed by now that I have developed some new markings."
"I have…" There was no denying that Tails' new markings had caught Shadow's attention earlier.
"Well, it seems that your own fur has adapted to the change as well."
Shadow cocked an eyebrow, looking at Tails and not in the mirror, refusing to look. He didn't want to be proven wrong. He didn't want Tails proven right. But even still, the fox urged him to look, to see the proof that was right in front of him.
"Just, take a look, Shadow."
Welcome to chapter 3 everyone! This one does get a bit heavy, so just a little heads up for you all! (uncensored and no filter versions below the cut 🙏)
And there we have it, Chapter 3 finally completed! This one ended up capping out at 6,714 words.
Whew man it was rough getting through this, and I struggled to get and stay motivated to write it. The burn out was real! We got there in the end though, and I am happy with the chapter! I am never writing Tails again hahaha! /j
But anyway, now I get to start writing the fun stuff that I have absolutely been itching to write! I have Chapter 4 almost halfway complete as of writing this so the next wait shouldn't be nearly as long. I promise things start picking up from here hehehe *rubs my grimy little hands together like a hungry fly* :3
Ugh I am so sorry this chapter kept getting delayed! Life kept me quite busy the last few weeks! Anyway, for this cover specifically I pushed my boundaries a bit and tried some unique angles and whatnot for them. I think they look ok, and I learned a lot during this process, so I call it a win! :D

Sorry for vanishing off the face of the earth gang. But where did I disappear to? To the deepest pits of hell...
I have gotten super into Warframe and it has taken over my entire mental capacity. Oops! Blame my partner for this one haha (actually blame Follie for getting me into the game, iykyk).
Now even though Warframe has essentially shoved Sonic out of my brain for the time being, I'm not completely out of my Sonic hyperfixation. I still consume media, both art and written. I'm just not as actively creating the media much right now.
With that being said, it's time for the kind of sad news. Aftershocks is on a temporary hiatus. Only for now though! I am stuck on a Warframe grind right and it has all of my focus, however, once I'm all caught up on the story and what have you, and there's nothing left to do, I will come crawling back.
And it's not done for good! I still have so much story left to tell and was actively grinding away the next three chapters when the Warframe gods kidnapped me. Chapter 4 was nearly done and the cover art is complete. Chapters 5 and 6 were over halfway done each too. And chapters 7 and 8 were started. So fret not! When I make my inevitable return, whenever that may be, there will be much more story to be consumed! I estimate a total of 12-14 chapters total for the fic too so y'all will be getting fed. I just don't know how long it will be until dinner is ready though.
But anyway yeah. I've been dreading writing this for the last week or so. I had held out hope that maybe I could refocus on Sonic and get my fic written but alas, twas to no avail. Warframe got me good 😔

Learning about water, really like it. It took a lot of tries to be happy with what sonic was saying, mainly because he's saying a LOT and I refused to add another panel. It would have forced me to edit the next page too and well, sometimes manga DOES have this bricks of text... Sorry guys lol. A little wonky this one.

Imagine Dragons, Ironmouse, Sleep Token, Gigi Perez, Hans Zimmer, OMFG, and Casper Caan are a few of my favorite artists.
90s country, 70s rock, 10s EDM, are some of my favorite genres
But yeah I kinda listen to everything and anything. It really depends on my mood for the day what I listen to!
Same anon that asked about the fav Sonic game. Are there any other games or franchises you enjoy outside of Sonic?
Oh boy okay haha.
The only other game/franchise that I enjoyed that could rival my love for Sonic, was Skylanders. I was obsessed with those games. I have over 600+ figures from the game, including some pretty rare and exclusive ones that made my wallet cry. I have every game, and my sibling, dad, and I would play together. Those are some of my fondest memories. My dad and I would always go through and 100% the games.
I was briefly into Spyro. By briefly I mean as a child I was obsessed with Dawn of the Dragon.
Skyrim was another game I got way into. But that one died pretty quickly. I had gotten to level like, 87, and was on a 4 hour spree without saving like a dumbass. Well, I got to a point where I experienced a bug with Meridia's Beacon where I would drop from the sky and instead of being caught by the next scene, I would land and die, and when I would respawn in the sky, I would fall to my death again (iykyk). The only way to fix the issue was to reload my last save... from 4 hours ago. So much lost progress. Haven't touched the game since.
I really love playing Buckshot Roulette. Hooked on that game.
Fallout 4 could rival my Sonic fixation in fan content I consumed haha. I was absolutely obsessed when it came out. Hancock my beloved. I drew fanart, made OCs, read fics and fan comics. and even wrote a short fic about my own OCs. Over time though the hyperfixation slowly died and it just faded from my adoration.
I like playing Critter Bay, Backrooms [REDACTED], Deadly Delivery, [SPREAD THE LOVE] Grace, Pressure, and numerous tycoons on Roblox (I have an entire Pressure AU for Sonic lmao).
Planet Coaster/Zoo, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and Harvest Moon ToT are all games I enjoy playing when I want to relax. Very calming, especially Stardew Valley with its lovely music.
Recently though, I have gotten like, way into Warframe. I am still new though (my partner calls me a baby Tenno?) and not very good yet. I only just accomplished this a day or two ago.
I've never been a huge fan of multiplayer games like this because I am really really bad at them and get nervous about my teammates getting mad at my failure haha. But, being able to play solo, I have actually started to really enjoy the game and it is really really fun. My partner has been helping me when I need it (he's been playing since 2014 and has over 2k hours in game 😵💫). Needless to say he is quite excited that I've shown an interest in the game lol. But yeah I saw the sneak peak of Follie and instantly loved her and decided I needed to play that character. A frame that's an artist and has my body type? That's a no brainer haha. She is precious.
