Last night I went to Lollapalooza solely for the fact Metallica was playing. They were the headliners, and didn't play until 8. I got there at noon, made my way to the front barricade and didn't move all day. I've been to a lot of shows in my time. Big and small. I have to be honest when I say despite the drunk hipster girls behind me continuously screaming "YAS" and "omg they are amazing", all the while getting the lyrics wrong... It was easily the best show I've ever been to. I think it might be due to the fact they have been a band since the 80's, and despite their ups and downs, they sounded amazing, had so much energy, and were genuinely happy to be there. They are the epitome of how bands should be. Stop with the shitty elitist attitudes, and just have fucking fun. I hope I can see them a million more times before they decide it's time to stop playing.

This is a terrible photo of a photo. But shout out to my boyfriend for enduring me wanting to do nature things for our vacation, and him actually taking interest and enjoying it. He spent a total of 11 hours in the car with me, which is not an easy task because I hate long car rides/driving. The past two days were fantastic, and I really hope we can escape to do another two day vacation again soon, for mental health reasons. The outdoors seem to make everything okay.
