Hey guys! 

My best friend Jillian and I were thinking that we don’t really know or talk to enough Disnerds like ourselves and we would like to change that! We want to make a Disney based Facebook group chat in which we’ll discuss all things Disney with people who are as passionate as ourselves! These can be about the movies, parks, trivia or anything really! I just feel it’s a really fun idea and it would be great to get to know more of you lovely people! That IS great, but we’ve had a lot of this before. I wish people wouldn’t ignore the older movies, especially the classics, to praise the new ones-

Girls who had to work hard for something and succeeded:

Parental abuse:

Labels don’t define you:

Overcoming depression:

Learning to trust:

Diverse cast and shows science is exciting:

Probably far more than that, but that’s just a few off the top of my head.

Then there is Lilo and Sitch which covers:

-The value of family, as well as the message that you can make your own family and that family is as valuable as the one you are born with

-Overcoming labels slapped on you by others and that you can make your own path (Stitch is labeled a monster at the start and by the end, he has overcome some of his programming and is a productive member of society)

-Determination can lead to success

-Arguably overcoming depression, since Lilo does start off as a very sad little girl and gets better over the course of the movie

-The main cast is non white, either Hawaiian or Samoan 

-Accepting the differences in others (the humans and aliens grow to work together)

-There is not a big romantic plot at all, since the movie is more focused on the bonds and love of a family.
