Mt. Kailash is the most sacred mountain for Buddhism and Hinduism in Tibet. Believers come and full body prostrate the mountain which is 52km around. It takes 4 weeks. Samye monastery was the first Buddhist monastery built in Tibet. According to Tibetan folklore, the monastery was built many times but would always collapse after a certain amount of progress.
