Make all your location names seasonal. Every place would have as many names as your world has seasons. Nobody ever remembers all the names unless they spend a lot lot lot of time there, so they just describe the location or the culture instead most of the time unless they have the map in front of them.

If you were a poor DM about to run a Dragon Heist campaign in a couple of weeks and could only afford to buy 5 character/enemy miniatures, which 5 would you buy?

Disclaimer: I never played with miniatures, I either use tokens or roll 20 or theatre of the mind

It’s really hard to say. Depending on your choice of villain and the player’s actions, the fights you will be having can vary a lot. A Kenku and a Goblin mini will probably be a safe bet though

May I also suggest that it may not matter? You can sometimes buy packs of random miniatures for cheaper than individually selected ones, and substitute them. My group’s medium spider mini has been a dog, a centipede, a wildshaped Druid, and a million other things. As long as everyone at the table knows what’s an ally and what’s an enemy, what the minis themselves actually are don’t matter.

You do you. Whatever the hell that means. If you need to click your tongue while writing a paper, or twirl your hair while at your register at work, you do that. You’re stims arent bad, they’re just part of you. We’re always told not to be defined by these disorders, not to let them take over our life, but those who say that don’t understand it. Your adhd or autism isn’t a temporary bump in your life to overcome, it’s not like depression or anxiety. It’s ingrained into you. It IS you. Don’t be afraid to love it, because hating it is hating something that makes up such a larger part of who you are as a person. You have one brain, and it may be a bit fucked, or very fucked, you’ll always get through it. So cry when the lights and sounds are too loud, then baffle others with your ability to talk about something endlessly for hours, and shock them with your intelligence. You’re not stupid or annoying, you’re you, and whoever has a problem with that can, quite frankly, just fuck themselves.

make your character allergic to a component in health potions. it makes their face really itchy three days later. Like how i am when I eat a mango from the fruit source. 🍑

make it where mosquitoes don’t exist in your campaign. I just really hate mosquitoes. They don’t care if I have bugspray or not.  Another idea: Make the entire campaign indoors.  or make a character hate the woods with a fiery passion. So much so that they complain even when begged for a ‘pleasant’ walk through the woods

I just showed up to my buddy’s house for our weekly D&D Night, and he pulled out this awesome creation that he built.

Shifting interests.

Have your character multiclass sporadically as and when they change their interests. Do I want to use this experience to study arcane text or am I suddenly obsessed with learning how to play the lute, an interest which I will drop in the next month or so when i suddenly decide learning how to punch stuff would be neat...
