so i finished coloring this, finally. i’ve never actually colored anything with sai before, and i rarely color at all anyway, so this was basically an experiment where i tried a bunch of different things and hoped it would work. i think it came out pretty decent.

Story Promo.

Wanna start reading about Robots but not interested in the Apocalyptic view? Why not try Singularity, California? A “Helot” created island 200m of the shore of San Francisco. This blooming tourist attraction is still in it’s new born stages. The Mayor and First Prototype of the Helots; Root has big plans for the dream city. His partner in the political stance Lamina has his hands full with the blooming industries of Helot manufacturing. But when Root can’t seem to find the right words, he puts his dear friend and the 2nd prototype of Helots in the middle of it. Shell, our protagonist is part of the LRS (Liability Reduction Squad) that is newly created in the wonderful vista of Singularity. But with the birth of something new, there will always be those who oppose change. What will Shell do when faced with some of the hardest choices he will have to make so far?

So i've got some 3D modeling software to work with and try to learn how to work with it before spending nearly a million dollars on the software that I need for PHRA.

But before that can actually happen, I have to buy a new tablet pen because mine has gone missing.

Please tell me i'm not the only one who loses a tablet pen.

I WAS PONCHOMAN AND I PRETTY MUCH ONLY KNEW ONE POSE FOR PHOTOS

my favorite encounter in this outfit that i don’t have a photo for was this woman who came up to me when I stepped outside for a bit (that poncho was about as how as it looked, even when I was just wearing a t shirt underneath) and asked who I was because she and her husband and grandfather were thinking Protoman, but weren’t sure. So I explained who I was, and then she showed me a voicemail she has from like a Magfest two years ago when she got engaged and so her dad (I think) found a Duke Nukem cosplayer and had them call her to wish her a happy engagement. It was HILARIOUS. have i mentioned everyone at magfest was great???

I really appreciated the people who had no idea what it was but were like YOOOOO anyway (if I pumped my gun at you, nodded, or waved at you this weekend you can probably assume I was also smiling at you behind this helmet ok) also the people who recognized I was some form of Protoman, but also the person who asked if I was a power ranger and the girl at the concerts Thursday who asked if I was a pokemon trainer and then hugged me. (To be fair thursday I was only wearing the helmet).

I really love kids reacting to cosplay though ahhh. From the boys who yelled up I LIKE YOUR HELMET when we were chilling on the balcony of our room, the girl on Sunday who got really excited and tried to show me to her whole family… I love kids reacting to cosplay so much akhsgshkldljs. my crowning achievement of magfest is that i only scared one little kid in this outfit and THAT WAS THE MOM’S FAULT (because she was like “Look at their helmets! And her gun!” And I raised the gun up and thE LITTLE BOY HID BEHIND HIS BROTHER WAHHH)

also shoutout to the guy in a suit who i shared a really awkward elevator ride with while i was carrying two arms full of apples and clementines.

Was an incredible time! Music was good, danced with some people, and then ran into tiny Crashman and Protoman who were great!

Did not expect running around in a prom dress and motorcycle helmet to be as amazingly fun as it was.
