Sylvia would for sure be one of them. It'd be a bit weird because she was made for me to cope with my own weird relationship to my mother, but I feel like I have a long enough track record for being friendly with older people to get through her shell lmao.

Seville and I would be university friends for sure. Ze's not based on my best friend, but in some ways ze acts like her lmao. We'd chat about literature and study together for our exams and suffer <3

My Miitopia squad also lmao. Sophie, Andie, Anthe, Atalanta, Alex, Melody, Madeline, Jade and Sammy. Probably mostly Sophie, Melody and Jade, but all of them are my beloveds <3

A picture of Nathalie and him on their wedding. It's pretty simple, but the sunset makes them basically glow

17. What are some of your OC's coping mechanisms during stressful or overwhelming periods in their life?

well... Very few characters in Frostbite get to have coping mechanisms and Rahka's just about the same. He bottles up and hides his feelings so much it comes back to bite him in the ass <3.

But anyways, when he's stressed he desperately looks to have a moment with Nathalie just the two of them. She grounds him whenever he's having a moment again

i know i said i did not want to talk about the nolan odyssey but i do have one more nodyssey post in me. i actually think the idea of odysseus understanding his story as existing both in and out of a historic timeframe is a fun way to handle the liminality caused by the story being part of an extensive oral tradition. however having him say "our age of bronze is collapsing" is perhaps not the way i would have done that

I love it when grieving characters start adopting the features of a person who has died, wearing their keepsakes, adopting their mannerisms, speaking like they did. letting the dead live through them as if they never left, as if they never died. Plus points if they start losing who they are in the process, one life for another, in a way.
