Kingdom Hearts III: Winnie The P- Er- Keyblade War Trailer?
NEW KINGDOM HEARTS III TRAILER!!! Came out yesterday! I’ve already watched it a hundred times by now yet I’m still yelling about it.
For being called the “Winnie the Pooh Trailer”, Pooh Bear isn’t really the most exciting thing in it. So much happened in just a minute and a half of footage. Why don’t I analyze it? Right off the bat it’s clear how amazing this game’s graphics are going to be.
Nearly 6 years of development really shows. Next up is the “focus” of the trailer. Winnie the Pooh is revealed to be a returning world!
The endings of the Winnie the Pooh story arcs in past KH games are always so heartwarming. Wonder how this story arc will change things up! Suddenly there’s a scene where Ansem is at Twilight Town, likely to look for Xehanort’s next vessel.
Hayner TRIES TO DROPKICK THIS MAN. Unfortunately, the scene cuts off before impact, though I am excited to see how THAT goes.
Now we’re getting into the good stuff. CHIRITHY AND SORA ARE TOGETHER. Kingdom Hearts: Union Cross is important after all! Strangely, they’re standing -er- floating in the sky? This may take place in the Unchained Realm from Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X.
Now back to Disney, we see the Dark Baymax. This takes place after the events of the Big Hero 6 movie. This Baymax was the one that was trapped in the void after saving Hiro.
He escaped after being corrupted by Heartless. The arm cannon that he fired off is still missing, having been replaced by miscellaneous microbots.
NOW BACK TO THE PLOT. Sora is in a weird sky again, and there are multiple copies of him running around everywhere here. What is going on?
This is like that scene from Dream Drop Distance, where Young Xehanort shows Sora the many different timelines of his travels in Traverse Town. This might be the “final world’ Tetsuya Nomura was talking about. Maybe it’s the inside of Kingdom Hearts itself. Or maybe it’s the Unchained Realm from before.
Time may be warped in the Heart of All Worlds, as Sora could be seeing multiple different versions of himself from different timelines. OR these other Soras are other Keyblade weilders in the Unchained Realm that Sora sees as himself since he has no memory of them. Whatever this place is, it’s wild.
There’s a Sora standing on this pole. This area is linked to the Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix box art! From 12 years ago!!!
Nomura is such a madman! We’re not done yet! Now we have MORE FOOTAGE of the Keyblade Graveyard.
Axel- I mean- Lea and Kairi are shown joining the fight. Glad to see Kairi finally get some work done! That time she spent in that “hyperbolic time chamber” will hopefully pay off.
It looks like we’re going to get another “1000 Heartless” battle like from KH2. With the PS4’s engine, who knows how many more enemies we’re going to face!
What’s this? Terranort is back!? HUH?!?!? The Lingering Will fight from KH2FM is CANON??????? Now Terra’s spirit can finally fulfill his mission from 13 years ago!
NOW we finally see our 13 Darknesses -that is- if they weren’t hooded. At least they’re not giving us any real spoilers with these trailers. One of these hooded figure looks familiar however.
Is… Is that Xion? The way they stand is exactly the same. They’re the only other “feminine” looking Organization member present other than Larxene.
Unfortunately, Leonard Nimoy (Voice of Master Xehanort) has passed. The new voice actor for him might take some getting used to. Nimoy gave such an evil and menacing performance. The new guy has big shoes to fill, bigger than Sora’s!
All in all, this trailer has me the MOST hyped for Kingdom Hearts 3. The second Keyblade War and the forging of the X-Blade is nigh. It’s really happening. Less than 80 days left until January 29th. All the pieces lie where they fell and Sora will be the Link to All!
