Kr'zkex gifts her with a priceless magical space orb “for Jennifer.” the hero makes it home with minutes to spare, kisses her wife in greeting, and tosses the orb to Jennifer, who promptly starts batting it back and forth with her paws bc Jennifer is, in fact, an adopted 2 year old housecat.

ever think about how A’s denial regarding their feelings for the detective is never internal? like, they deny having those feelings in front of everyone, but in their head they just deny themselves the possibility to encourage those feelings. they still acknowledge them. they acknowledge them in Sanja’s tent and later with N, they acknowledge them every time a romance scene is triggered and mishka shows us their point of view, they admitted them more than once in the book 3 demo… they say it every time they don’t say it you know? it’s always like [open denial of those feelings] [internal honest acknowledgment], unlike for example in M’s case, who cannot recognize certain emotions because they’re new and unfamiliar. no, A is completely aware of what the detective stirs in them but they have this need to put the detective’s safety above all else so they try to keep those emotions in check, deciding not to act on them. because they know what will happen if they do. they know everything will become real, and once that happens there’s no going back- it will be too easy to hurt the detective and themselves. and they feared this already because of what happened in their past, but even while being hesitant they did ask Sanja ‘what would happen if I were to fall for the detective’. and of course Sanja kind of confirmed their worst fears. sure, the future is not set in stone, but A chooses to focus only on the bad ending (the one that would break them and that must be avoided at all costs) and that’s eating them from the inside. bruh, do you know how painful it is to keep such strong feelings buried inside you??? to like. deny yourself the possibility of happiness out of a selfless desire to protect someone else,,,, we’re talking about feelings strong enough to shake A from 900+ years of apathy and they have the fucking will not to act on them anyways. can you imagine the level of hurt they’re experimenting eye- no thoughts only tears :) we love clowning on A but this is an appreciation post for how absolutely selfless and strong-willed and protective they are when it comes to people they love.

So funny how I walked into Wilhemina fully viewing Jonathan as being so like my boyfriend and then seeing Van Helsing’s emotionally constipated ass and being like ‘ahhh, there’s my awkward boy’. Wilhelmina is a gothic horror story combined with romance, mystery elements, and, of course, vampires. In this reimagination of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the player experiences the story from Mina’s perspective, who is given a much bigger role and the power to change things this time around.

Wilhelmina focuses on characters and their relationship, thus the story is heavily character-driven.

🦇 The Story

As your fiancé is currently away working for a client in the far-away Transylvania, you are on your own way to pay your childhood friend Lucy a visit, who requested your help with some urgent matters concerning three young men. Things already seem to be off as you arrive in the picturesque coastal town, but everything starts to get weirder right after you run into a mysterious stranger, who seems to be quite intrigued by you.

🦇 The Cast

There are four romance options for Mina in the game.

Jonathan Harker, Mina’s currently out-of-town fiancé.

Lucy Westenra, Mina’s childhood best friend, who’s in dire need of her help.

Abraham van Helsing, polymath doctor, Dutch, and monster hunter.

And of course, Dracula, the (in)famous vampire, who’s gender will either be female or male, depending on your own preference.

Additionally to these four, there will be a set of side characters with whom you will be able to form a platonic relationship.

This will be one game, no series.

I do not expect you to have any knowledge of the original novel or any of the adaptions. This is a story of its own.

A word of warning: The game will contain dark and gruesome scenes at some points, so please be aware of that and take care of yourself.

Also, a quick disclaimer: English isn’t my first language, so typos and grammatical errors might appear in-game. Feel free to point them out to me if you want to.
