Recent baking/chef stuff I’ve been doing! The first 3 images are all things I sent to my love haha (in a ldr and his birthday is next week but he’s going to see family in Ireland for it so I’m sending him stuff now!)

Yeah it’s sappy, I don’t care. This man? He’s the most beautiful soul, and human I have ever met. I don’t know what I did to come across him (thanks TikTok, I like you a hell of a lot more than I used to) but my god. In a time where I was hopeless, and losing my mind, he has been the brightest ray of sunshine, grounding me in every way, and showing me that maybe there is hope for a future.

He gets me you know? The chronic illness, struggle with pain, the mental health side of things and struggling with that, but is the kindest and sweetest soul I have ever met, with a heart of gold and the most breathtaking smile and eyes. I love him, more than I thought humanly possible, flaws and all. The intelligence, and humility, his creativity (my god his artistry strikes awe in me at every turn), it makes me start to believe in soul mates if I’m honest. And I CANT STOP RAVING ABOUT HIM. I’m lovesick, truly, but I love it.

You're the wind that rips through my lungs as I struggle to catch a breath.

You're the familiar path a thousand feet have trodden.

You're the danger of a brush with death.

You are everywhere, and I can't shake you off. Even if I want to forget you, I find hope in the shadows of you. Why did you lose that warmth with me? Was it something I said, was I too honest?

I'm not sure I want to know truth be told. I can't keep blaming myself for the fragments of you being shaken off my skin with every single breath I take. I deserve more than this and you damn well know it.

There's a violence in the words that fall from your mouth.

No it's not knives, but a thousand cuts are left all the same.

Breaking me down atom by atom, leaving a dark pain that I don't think you can fathom.

Perhaps I am oversensitive and "weak". Perhaps I am an idiot for trusting you.

Perhaps I am hopeless for the times I trust in myself, and fall against dark waves greater than your shores could ever cast.

But perhaps that hopelessness can act as a soft beacon of safety and warmth for all those who have ever felt the same.

Maybe we can find a little solace in our dark splinters, rooting together like plants of the forest, and one day we might bloom.

I'm at a new studio now too, since August, and based in Stockport, Manchester!

It's called Inner Vision Collective, and honestly, it's the best collection of people I've ever worked with. I'm still in disbelief that this is life I guess, but things feel lighter than they ever have.

Humble beginnings this.

The spoon was from about 6/7 years ago? I was like, 15/16 and convinced I was the next biggest art thing out there.

Here's some recent flash sheets I've done, which I'm trying to keep simple (and Jesus, I did NOT think my work was that complicated before starting tattooing on an apprenticeship but it really was 😭).

I'm learning each day, and refining my work constantly. Proportions, line weights, and definition need to be on point.

It's also the struggle of trying to work out what people like, but trying to be original too! My skull flowers are a big success so far, and I'm just excited to start actually tattooing on people now haha.

Representation within tattooing IS so important.

Everyone deserves confidence in their designs, and their artists. No questions about it.

And the artist should know how to deal with different skin tones- from the point of someone trying to get an apprenticeship, I want to learn as much as possible about this before I even start!

Why? Because I can then fully understand how to design for every client, and then how to make my designs even better.

So from now on, I'm going to try my best to include not just a white background- but a variety of tones to display how each design might look on different skin tones.

Representation matters. From a kid who never saw people with similar conditions or backgrounds, it matters. And I want to do what I can to help.

Life is like being stuck inside of a Grimm fairytale.

It seems so familiar, but the dread for the upcoming horrors is inevitable and inescapable.

The only way out is through them, and like a fairytale, will lead to a happy ending.

Done some art recently which I'm hella proud of, as part of trying to get a tattoo apprenticeship!

But the thing that just is starting to irk me, in every aspect of life I guess, is that people are jumping on the diversity bandwagon (which is brilliant and I'm really happy to see- it should've happened YEARS ago?!?!?!), but excluding disabled and chronically ill persons from this.

It's not diversity if you're being selective????

And to go through life and not have people to look up to, is heartbreaking. Disabled people are excluded from SO many things- parks, nature experiences, work opportunities alongside certain careers, and face such judgement on a daily basis... it's fucking horrific. And no one seems to care, and it puts such an anger in me that I can't explain.

I've got chronic health conditions which on a ticklist, puts me as disabled. Since I was 3 years old, it's excluded me from so many things and alienated me, with people always trying to dictate what I CAN do, and the hurt and loneliness that causes is unfathomable for many.

Can we PLEASE start listening to disabled people? Not treating them like children if they aren't a child, and giving them a chance before you judge? In a world that seems full of negativity, and abuse already, can we please just acknowledge people that have been pushed to one side and ignored for so long? It's not asking much, and we just want to be treated like humans too.

And also, if you know of any tattoo artists that are disabled/have chronic illness, PLEASE drop their profile and share! Personally, I'd love to explore some of them and just help get the attention they deserve 🖤
