There was a brief pause as the voice was heard, just as a subconscious delay to avoid the inevitable. Then he turned, and saw, and forcibly restrained himself from flinching. It wasn’t very polite, after all, to flinch at one’s reflection. Especially when it decided to speak to you.

He rapidly collected his thoughts, trying to formulate the correct response to this sort of situation before it caught up with him. The tone of the other was understandable, given who he looked like, but he couldn’t exactly copy the emotion. He’d have to take this slowly: calm his expression, see where this was going.

"I could say the same…Pride." The name felt wrong as he spoke it. "Though I wouldn’t exactly call it ‘great’ to see you. My apologies."

A few moments passed before Pride allowed himself to smirk. Look at you, getting worked up over nothing, a bitter voice spoke, and it took every bit of will power he had not to frown again. The boy before him was just pathetic, he reminded himself. Absolutely nothing to get worked up over.
